We went to the Waubonsie Valley Athletic/Activity night last night. May I just say what a pleasure it was to meet some of the Waubonsie staff as well as some booster members. Everyone was so kind! I am very impressed! The athletic director was so charming!
I wanted to post this because I seem to post a lot of negative things. It's fun to post something positive!

Any other news ? Didn't make the meeting. The must have hired someone for the VB coach for girls volleyball at WVHS because the job is not listed. Why do we need to hire so many coaches/asst. coaches, etc. and no new teachers for the new high school and middle school? Seems odd to me. I also find it strange that most of the jobs posted on 2/13 have not been filled yet. Why are those jobs still open and are still listed? Seems a bit odd to me.

Perhaps coming from the outside? doctorwho: You and I had a brief exchange on this back on December 23. I put a person from the outside out there and you didn't understand. I knew at that point that a very successful girls VB coach from another school was approached for the MV spot and turned it down. Of course I knew they were looking outside back in December.

It's not the only reason to take the role but the two feeder middle schools for MV have had very limited success..and limited number of club players in the sport. winning records @ a premium over the last decade....strongest MS by far in 204 - Scullen. ? for you - was the successful coach a WV alum ?

I don't think the VB coach an alum, but I could be wrong. She did coach in Champaign around 20 years ago. 8th grade Scullen was champs in VB this year, but the dominant 7th grade team in 204 was Gregory. Still 7th graders who went 500 this past fall beat 7th grade Scullen. Unfortunately, 3 of those girls on the Still team are Benet bound.
