Tax bill came in the mail. Enjoy the increase. Thanks 204. should send mine back and tell them I obviously am no longer in 204's taxing jurisdiction - look at my HS assignment - they have obviously confused my land parcel with one in Aurora -- and could they please re assign me to something within reason - maybe 203 - or heck Wheaton-Warrenville South - it's closer and a complete school.

Yep got mine too- gee only a 5% increase this time ( after 13% and 11% the last 2 years ) - for a school system I can't use - what a deal.

Great day (just kicked my dog twice and then put him on ebay).
Got my 16.5K tax bill today (up almost 2K) on a house that may appraise for 600K to 620K if we were lucky. What's another 150 per month when pay raises are frozen, bonuses eliminated and health care costs up 10%. Instead of fence it off baby, I think Dr. D really meant tax and spend baby.
Especially loving the 10 million in unnecessary expiditing costs on this wonderful day. The bubble has to burst eventually (how can people continue to absorb these increases?).

Which is why those people who live in precincts were the voter turnout was under 10% - while allowing some single minded people to vote in even more support for the powers that be is even harder to figure out. Is fear that the SB will move then to another school really that great - how can they not care about the spending ? Imagine now if Dr D had stood up and said we don't need this d**n high school - we are almost 2000 kids short of NIU's guess -- so lets build that 3rd MS, lets use the bond interest to put in A/C and let's return $90M to the taxpayers, or use some of it for the coming huge shortages the district will face. But no - he goes along with expediting the opening of 1/2 a high school and wizzing away $10M+ in this economy. It's days like the last 2 when that tax bill rolls in the door that make these decisions suck even worse than on other days. For those fans of WVHS ( like myself)- remember this day in a few years when the announcement to close it and sell it off comes..and it will.
