We just got back from the NV Fine Arts Festival. We had a 5th grade orchestra performer and 6th grade chorus. If you have never been to one, go. It is incredible. I had the pleasure of watching the NVHS Chamber Singers a few months ago and these young ladies are fantastic.
I have to applaud all the teachers, parents and students for such a great afternoon.

(an email from scullen middle school) MUSIC - Fine Arts Festival The 23rd Annual Fine Arts Festival will take place this Saturday, May 16, 2009. The FAF is a wonderful celebration of the creative arts from pre-school through twelve grade. Artwork is on display throughout both high schools and music performances take place from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Beginning this year, our Scullen students will alternate between the Neuqua Valley and Waubonsie Valley sites. This year, all Scullen students will be featured at the Neuqua Valley location. The specific schedule is on the attached pdf file. Feel free to stop in as you are able. Parking is hectic, but the display of student talent is remarkable! ---------------------------- that's a lot of complication. you have art, orchestra, band, chorus from PETERSON, FRY, WELCH.. and i would guess many families would have their elementary students with their show at NV.. how would you go to both? as it is, you have to miss some programs because they occur at the same time as others.

I anticipate we will be in that position next year...one student performing at NV, one performing at WV and each performing multiple times (BCO). It'll be a mess, maybe it's better for our family to "have plans" that weekend.

I saw a time turner for sale at the Harry Potter exhibit. That might come in handy! oh how handy that would be - I'd put $150M back into the taxpayers pockets -- And oh how differently I know most of those I know would have handled the SB election before last that invisibility cloak would come in handy for those secret subdivision planning sessions -

Ut oh, 'hatred' showing again...
