Most people don't even have to drink the Kool Aid, most don't care.
Look at your tax bills folks, just over 70 % goes to D204.

I agree with you maxdog. I'm sure something is coming down the pike that he is getting out of dodge for. My prediction is an inability to open MVHS on time. No inside track here - just a prediciton. My thoughts exactly! Either MV isn't going to open on time or Metzger turned on him when the Gregory situation hit the fan.

While I like the reference to the song Ding Dong, the witch is dead, I can't stop singing the Beverly Hillbillies theme song. Sing along with me.
"Come and listen to a story about a man named Dash He moved to 204 and he spent a lot of cash, Then one day during his afternoon nap, He saw the future of the district.. And thought holy crap!
Trouble’s a comin’, that is, major trouble, Alaska style
Well the first thing you know ol' Dash is lookin’ south, Kinfolk in 204 said Dash please shut your mouth Said Greater Clark is the place you ought to be So he loaded up his truck and moved South of Indy
Indiana, that is. at risk kids, no entitled folk.
Ye haw! Take your shoes off Dash. Y’all never come back now, y’hear?"

I think they brought in the Dash to get the 'dirty work' done, knowing he wouldn't be around too long...but long enough.
Then...the Gregory incident happened causing MM to lose his Presidency as well as his reputatation. I am sure some lovely words were exchanged behind closed doors regarding that.
Dash was a condescending good ol boy who didn't like the fact that parents took an active role in their childrens' education. I think he prefers at risk kids because the parents won't get in his way.

Why does the district announcement talk about the at risk kids in Clark County? Does anyone here really care why he is leaving? This announcement was worded to imply that he is a saint, compelled to move on because he is the only possible savior for these poor at risk students.
It's a new job, not a higher calling. Dash, please stop trying to make yourself out to be larger than life, better than everyone else, and holier than thou. Just pick up your last paycheck and move on.
Goodbye Dash and no, there won't be a tear shed.

Although we are glad to see him go, a few of our SB members are likely preparing parting gifts based on their comments

Goodbye Dash and no, there won't be a tear shed. Right. A higher calling to him as long as they can pay him that huge salary. I think he would have never left 204 if the salary wasn't close to what he is making here. The lone board member in Clark County who voted against him based on salary alone, must be the smartest person on the school board! Given this current economy, it is quite a risk for the Clark County SB to rely on the community for a large part of Dr. D's salary. It will be interesting to see how long Dr. D last in Clark County. When can the 204 SB offically start the search for his replacement? Do they need a formal letter from Dr. D first? Has the search been started and I missed that info.?

The Gregory issue made clear to MM that Dash would not take a bullet for him. Dash was absolutely silent during "email gate", otherwise known as "pottymouth gate".
Now Dash realizes that the s**t is gonna hit the fan, lawsuits, out of control costs for MV, budget crises...all were sure to be blamed on Dash. MM was gonna make sure Dash took the fall. Payback time

Very strong info had her leaving for 203 6-8 months ago, then that suddenly went away -- wonder if the events are tied together ? How long has Mr Valentine been working on Dr D ?
