per principal's note, FRY has 803 students at the start of the year. Dear Fry Families, I would like to take a moment to welcome you back to the Fox Den! We are beginning the 2009 school year with 803 students, we will be home to 31 classrooms and one Kindergarten Support Program. The Administration is finalizing staffing and student placement details, while the staff are beginning preparations to their classrooms. Please take a moment to bask in the end of the summer glow, before we see you on Monday August 17th for our annual teacher Meet and Greet from 2:00-3:00 pm. This year the Fry PTA will be joining our festivities by hosting an Ice Cream Social on Monday as well from 2:30-4:30 pm. We look forward to renewing connections with our Fry families and welcoming new families to the Den.......... etc ---------------------- i think they had about 870 students last year. ------------------------------ modified to add: fry.ipsd.org/facultyandstaff.aspi don't know what kindergarten support program is...i've never heard of that before.

I thought the same thing, refbasics, when I read the principal's announcement. What the heck is Kindergarten Support program? I'm not sure if this is District-wide or just a Fry thing.
I'm glad to see the numbers declining at Fry. I honestly think when my oldest kids were there the number was closer to 1000 kids. Way too big for an elementary school.
I have to admit though that I was disappointed to see no noticeable changes with regard to pick-up/drop-off procedures. IMO, the whole thing has always been a crazy mess. There has to be a better way! When you have parents there before 3:00 waiting in line to get a top spot, ya just gotta wonder.
