Wondering if the HazMat guy will be there ;D. whether he is there or not, the kids already have their own "jokes" about MVHS.... I have heard on several occassions that MVHS doesn't need lights in their stadium because the kids are glowing from the powerlines. Maybe they can "fence off" the view of the powerlines from the stadium.

I have it on good source that anyone wearing an orange T-Shirt to this event will be given priority seating, and possibly a private tour.
The won't be allowed to clap for the performers, they'll have to do some stupid wave their arms thing though.

District 204 invites the community to the dedication and open house for Metea Valley High School on Sunday, October 4. There will be a formal school dedication ceremony from 2:00 to 2:30 pm, followed by an open house from 2:30 to 5:00 pm with an opportunity for community members to tour the school. The formal presentation of the building will be made by Stephen Fort, Vice President and General Manager of Turner Construction Company, and Dennis Bane, Principal and Architect at DLR Group. The school's Vocal Jazz group and Symphonic Strings are scheduled to perform. Construction of the 464,200 square foot school officially began on May 1, 2008. The school opened approximately 15 months later on August 20, 2009 with 1,250 freshman and sophomore students. Construction was divided into two phases; Phase 1 consisted of a fully developed 84-acre site with approximately 280,000 square feet of finished space. Phase II, consisting of the auditorium, pool, music areas, and junior and senior classrooms, is scheduled for completion in January 2010. Metea Valley High School is located at 1801 N. Eola Road, Aurora. ======================================= ipsdweb.ipsd.org/News.aspx?id=25240======================================= Is this the same Dennis Bane from the 2005 referendum committee who, if memory serves, didn't meet the criteria to be on the committee? (no kids in the system at the time). If my memory is wrong, please correct.... but this seems 'odd'.
