I think I know where CFO/CRAFT/White/Ari/Vickers/Davitt/Caulfield/etc do their shopping. I was at Michael's Fresh Market on Rt 59, by Sam's Club, the other day, and I saw that they had FUD brand hotdogs (I'm not kidding). Boy, I bet I know what these guys have for lunch every day.

Unfortunately, by allowing Mr White to post this trash on their site, I am forever associating the Naperville Township Democratic Organization with this type of thinking in my mind.

IMO you're judging too harshly. First off, the Naperville Dems invited both sides to speak (204thekids and CFO) before the referendum and voted to endorse the ref. The endorsement was proudly posted on 204thekids' website. Secondly, Davitt and Caulfield are huge republicans (nearly every LTE from Davitt to the local papers that's not about the district are letters of support for George Bush), CFO presenter Chuck Kern is the Vice Chair of the Wheatland Township Republican Organization wheatlandrepublican.org/content/view/34/74/, and Ari Rosenthal & Chuck Kern are Wheatland Township Republican Organization Precinct Committemen. www.willclrk.com/images/pdffiles/rpctcomm.pdfIMO those prominent republicans have systematically hurt the district far more than Paul White's looney one-off rants. I don't think this is a partisan issue, so why make it one? The only thing the Naperville Dems are guilty of is allowing free speech. |

Free Speech sure, but they're promoting it on their political organization's website, which is funded by the contributions of their members (in fact they proudly take donations by Visa right on the homepage). Additionally, by having it appear as a "blog" of their "contributors" they have lent it legitimacy. Blogspot, myspace, etc exist for this junk, it doesn't need a political organization to legitimize it. Frankly it's clearly NOT a partisan issue at all (heck, I'm a fiscally conservative Repub who just voted for a tax increase  ), but you have to agree that by having one-sided discussion dominated by Paul White all over their site it starts to give a funny impression. Also, Defamation should not be classified as Free Speech. |

Third high school will never be needed
If 600 students attend classes at COD Frontier next year (300 of those on a full-time basis), that will mean even more empty seats at the Waubonsie and Neuqua Valley high schools' main campuses.
Combine this with the fact that School District 204 elementary school enrollment dropped by over 200 students this year. Why is 204 still pushing to spend hundreds of millions to build a third high school that will never be needed?
Why did the district spend $100,000 to convince taxpayers to fund this boondoggle?
Something is rotten at 204.
