High School Music Honors
========================
Neuqua Valley music teacher Bill Jastrow is conducting the All-State Band at the Illinois Music Educators Association (IMEA) Conference this Saturday in Peoria. The conductors are nominated by music teachers and come from all over the country, mostly from the professional and collegiate ranks. Jastrow said he is honored because the nomination came from his peers and there are many outstanding music teachers throughout the State and right within District 204. Each year the IMEA sponsors an All-State Conference for outstanding high school instrumentalists, vocalists, and student composers. Both District 204 high schools are well represented at this year's event. Waubonsie Valley has the distinction of having the highest number of All-State musicians selected to participate from any high school in the State of Illinois this year.
