That was sarcasm. I still would like to see your reasoning behind that it will take years. OK here it is: If it goes to a jury trial, it will take months to get a court date, jury selection, arguments, testimonies, and decision. Then there is the appeal process. Shall I go on?

And do you happen to know of an 80 acre parcel of land in the district which will magically go much smoother? We already have a couple of years into BB, we need to stick to it and finish it off.

I'm just concerned that some may want to stick to it because they like the boundaries.

And I'm concerned that some people are promoting a failure because they don't like the boundaries and hoping they have a BRIDGE to salvation.

We already have a couple of years into BB, we need to stick to it and finish it off. the other 'options' are probably still out there on the 204 web site.....none work nearly as well as BB....some are not even options any longer due to housing construction and plans... why is there panic over the land acquisition when all parties knew this was not going to be a 30 day process ? 80 acres of land within the boundaries is a rare commodity.. The truth is no one knows exactly when this will end, the plan was for x period of time and we are nowhere near that based on a Fall2009 opening and <2 year construction cycle -- so why start trying to get everyone excited ?

Excellent perspective, I think the heated temperatures on this board alone in the past few days are an excellent indication of exactly why you do not want to open that Pandora's Box again (are you listening SB?).

And I'm concerned that some people are promoting a failure because they don't like the boundaries and hoping they have a BRIDGE to salvation. And as a response to ' the sky is falling ' type comments without any solutions being offered either, I can understand how one gets to this conclusion.

But we shouldn't have a lengthy delay to a solution for the students because some people desperately don't want their kids to attend WVHS (or the new middle school). If we can't get this property in a timely fashion or for a reasonable price, we need to move on.

Lacy, if you are claiming the SD is off their timeline. I would like to see that timeline. I saw nothing about having to break ground this summer. It was hoped on this board that if they could we could open a year early.

See, let's not start the WV bashing ( even in a sarcastic, backhanded way ) - as a parent of a WVHS grad, I find it insulting.... you call for level headed discussions that throw this bull out there...and then wonder why people will question your motives.

I wasn't bashing WVHS. Re read the remark. But there are some in this district who don't want their kids to go there, so they would not want another site. I just don't want there to be a long delay in a solution for the students. We need the space now.
