OK now for a poll. Knowing that the offer frm the SB is 257k and the "claim by BB is 600k. Where would your upper limit fall that you would tell the SB that's too much. No upper limit means you would be ok all the way up to the top of BB's Claim. Also add a comment as to what you would suggest to make up the shortfall.

I'm comfortable up to 350k. At that price, it would be over the original plan by a hair over 4MM. I'm sure accomodations could be made to manage that.

This is how I look at this. 124 million was approved by the voters. If the SD paid 257,000/acre and the building cost 90,000,000 to build, that leaves the SD with a tad under 20,000,000 to work with.
Now the SD is seeing that they are already over budget for the building - by how much? The land cost is anyones guess as that will be determined by a jury. What I forsee is that the SD will do what it did with Neuqua and take out a gym or something to bring this back into buget and put that additional gym (or whatever they take out) on the 2009 referendum.
This whole project is going to cost our district a lot more than the 124 million which was approved. Rather than focusing on a name, I think they should be putting their efforts more into the cost of this project and other land that is available to purchase.

Will you please stop with this falsehood. The jury just can't decide any price.

What happens if the '09 ref. fails?? Taking a page from the anti-SB/SD scare tactic book. The SD will cut all activites and athletics. Housing prices plummet as a mad dash to get out the SD happens. People become upside down on their mortgages causing foreclosures. The SD goes bankrupt.

BC, The 3rd HS is going to be built on BB. Depending on the price that is determined, the SB may need to do something like you suggest (i.e. do something like skip one gym, etc.). I'm note sure what you mean by "a lot more than the 124 million", but I disagree, assuming that you are talking specifically about the cost to build the 3rd HS.

Will you please stop with this falsehood. The jury just can't decide any price. Let's clarify....Of course the jury cannot come up with ANY price, but they could and IMHO, will, come up with a price in excess of what they have planned for.
