If we moved on the Macom land, guess what? We still would not be building. There's a road that still needs to be moved, does it not? It's been 'planned' for a while and it was said it would have been done by now. It's not. Got iot covered.. I was gonna have the kids paint up a "Detour" sign and leave it attached to my pitchfork (it's got a sturdy handle). ;D All things considered, we can probably make due without Wolf's Crossing for a few months.

It's not a great location and there are obvious reasons that it may not be the answer but wouldn't it be worth investigating further? ! I know you may be shocked - but this part I do agree with. We are at the point where all options have to be looked at. I do not like many things about the site, ( no sense in repeating them for repetitions sake) but it can't be ruled out at this point either, even though a lot of $ to make up from walking away at BB. AND, it has to be ready to start on IMHO to be considered - or else we are looking at another increase in construction rates, and even 5% or 10% on $90 - $100M puts us behind the 8 ball again as that property costs more than original plan also. I don't like the location and the power lines, however, if we are starting over and looking at all options, if Macom site is considered, I say NVHS gives up their freshman center and WVHS keeps theirs - then maybe everything N of 75th can fit into WV (requires new boundaries). The Macom site is a pain to get to from anyplace n of 75th imo (especially east of 59). IMO, from a safety standpoint WV should give up its freshman center because it's across the street and more dangerous to get between campuses than NV, but no plan is perfect.

It's been 'planned' for a while and it was said it would have been done by now. It's not. Arch, I understand your frustration as I'm frustrated as well. I think we both need some answers from the administration and the SB. We are in the same space but differ on how to move forward. I think we should wait to hear what the real numbers are in terms of construction costs, delay if we pursue other land, etc. It's sort of dumb to banter back and forth til we know the reality of the situation. Once we do, we can get back to being dumb again... I agree also as this is kind of what I have been saying all day - until we see the proposals and what each of them really costs ( make sure nothing else is built into anythings etc.) all the speculation in the world doesn't make a difference. After all the meetings with Turner ...and all else involved. We need to understand -- 'exactly how much do we have to work with ' - what are the exact costs of walking away from the 25 acres we already own ( mostly) and the 55 acres we now have a price on' -- ' is there a forecast on construction cost increases between starting now and say Spring the earliest and maybe later ' - etc. then we can make better decisions on what is right or wrong. Likely we'll not al agree - but it will be a better discussion than now. Have to know what the 'gap' is - no one here has a handle on that right now - too many variables

One thing that might be lost in the stupor caused by that amazing trial outcome: for any alternative that is proposed, don't forget that the building of MV kills 2 birds with 1 stone:
bird 1) Overcrowding at the HS level bird 2) Overcrowding at the MS level (by converting WV Gold back to an MS)
Whatever the proposed solution is, it needs to address both.
