Earlier on, people were discussing going back to Macom's site.
I believe they are already discussing building a private HS with another group.

Can't sell the 25 acres to anyone but BB. reference please It was part of the original 03 ED Settlement. If not used for a school, it has to be sold back to BB minus legal fees. I am good with that....good riddance

It will peel enough students off to make a difference. If there has been there should have been some discussion at the Naperville town level considering the involvment of sewer, water, swap of land and rezoning needed.

Do you think so?
I for one wouldn't be able to pay for it.
Then again, I won't be able to pay my tax bill once the school gets built.

If they pull about 400 students at each HS grade level that changes everything. Where did you hear this and how sure are you? I am not finding anything on the Naperville website. But who has $100 million to build a private HS school?

Although a private school would be a nice thing it would probably pull from several districts. I don't think private high schools are usuallly as large as Metea Valley either. If a few hundred 204 go there the three schools will still be pretty full.

Rosary graduated 115 Benet 308 to give some perspective - and no way if they build one there a good number of those students come from Plainfield , Bolingbrook etc

Blankcheck, It is not backpeddling. It is called looking to Plan B because Plan A may not work afterall. I do recall a past school board candidate or two repeatedly saying we need to look at Plan B during the forums. Hmmmmm.......well better late than never.

I also recall a past candidate taking money from the owners of Plan B for their election campaign.... But that is water under the bridge, so let's leave the past in the past.

And what are you assuming is the plan B? I don't recall there ever being a clear one defined but simply we need to get one! Not sure where you were going with that one.

Let's keep this discussion on topic & actually try to look for options & weight them against on another in a constructive way.

We do need to look at other options that are best for our children.

And how do you know the SB didn't and hasn't had a Plan B? They simply chose not to disclose Plan B until a future point in time so as to not jeopardize Plan A. That time has now come to disclose Plan B. So lets wait and see what unfolds in the coming weeks.

Warriorpride,
Wise comment. I too feel that mud slinging about the past serves no purpose and we all need to focus on a new solution.

What arrogance on their part...They could have indicated that there is a contingency plan without jeapordizing anything. I sure hope they really do have a plan B....If not and they pay it. I will do my best to see that none of the cuurent SB is ever re-elected
