Irregardless of whatever site is ultimately chosen. Do you really think that MVHS will be able to open in 2009?

Personally I have given up on an 09 opening a loooong time ago, even if BB is ultimately chosen.

I agree. A 2009 opening is not likely. I am not willing to go on what the SB and SD "feel" they can get done; until I see some concrete plans on how to meet a 2009 opening - I will believe it when I see it.

Not saying it isn't possible, I just can't see how without more information.

While I do not think it is a given at this point, is the potential still there- I believe yes there is...but only if that footprint goes in soon. It is has to wait until even April to begin - I think that door closes even more.

So now that 4 people agree that a 2009 opening is not likely, what will they do for the next 2-3 years of overcrowding at the middle school level?

If we get the footprint in we can have what we need by 2009 which is getting a building to a point that it can function as s freshman center or at least serve as the 7th middle school for a year.

I doubt seriously that there will be any building ready by 2009. However, if that were to happen it would have to be as a HS. IMO, there's no way that the SB would use it to function as a freshman center or 7th MS. It would be an incompleted HS plain and simple!

OK, I'll admit I submitted the "maybe" vote. There are so many factors invovled. But the Nat'l Weather Service is predicting a mild winter, so I say the battlecry is 'START DIGGING!!!'

I have to go as a maybe too. I recall seeing people building things over the winter time. Whether or not a school can be worked on this winter, the land can be landscaped properly or work can happen over next winter is a bit too variable to say yes/no.

At worst you need a freshman/sophmore center. I would place WV freshmen at MV in 2009. It makes perfect sense because it will have all the advantages that a freshman center. WV will still be crowded with a full compliment of Juniors and Seniors at that time. If Freshman are at WV gold campus in 2009 they would be greatly outnumbered by juniors and seniors at a time when they are the only freshmen in the district dealing with upperclassmen at all. If possible I think that MV should house WV freshmen in 2010 as well.

I had given up on my 7th grader going to Metea even before the BB court decision. Now I wonder if the school will be built in time for my 5th grader.
