Can someone explain why people are claiming that we don't know the sites?
There are only 5 possible sites
AME, BB/CAV, Macom,Bolingbrook, Wagner Farms
The first four are the most possible sites
Wagner Farms is what I call a darkhorse. Maybe the family wants out?

OK Give the current list and I will see if I have anything to add to it. WE DON"T EVEN KNOW WHAT IS ON THE LIST! so how can we add to it? Do you want a link to the 'email the school board' button on their website? I know that link well...Been there....Done that....Still do not have the "List". I'll Try again.......

Even without a list, one can send their ideas and I'm sure those in negotiations can either add it if it's new or put another tick mark next the the idea/suggestion already there showing yet another concern /interest in that topic. It's kind of old school, but it works. FWIW, I'm not trying to be a d*** about this. People are complaining because they aren't being heard. There are ways and opportunities to communicate, so I'm calling bunk on that. Yes, we don't have all the information at this time. But, I think it's unrealistic to expect it too. That's just not how certain stages of business work. Now, if we put out a RFP / bid process for land, we might have all that information out in the open...but it's not being done that way.

Are the Plainfield and Oswego SD sites on 111th out? Is something happening with them? Too bad that site selection report does not have a map. I am having trouble picturing exactly where each of those 111th sites are.

There would only be a few dozen homes withing walking distance.

I'll Try again....... as supportive as I am of the SB -- I do believe this is a valid question since it was brought up in the paper. We are all aware of what has come up here, and we have to understand many on this site are likely far more clued in to what's going on that 90% of the rest of the district - where apathy and frustration are the dominant themes. What all has been suggested by the voters - that doesn't give away anything in negotiation. I also agree with arch that there is a quick link to communicate - and even if one is asking wth is going on -- there likely needs to be more communication from the voters to the sb. And the next general meeting should be packed - however likely won't be attended by many more than the usuals.

You can have your opinion about HIDING, but until the ink is dry on a piece of paper, they have not closed a deal; to me, that means they are still in negotiations. I'm not sure what other step they can be in if they haven't made a purchase yet. Please enlighten us, since you feel this is all just a big hiding game. No offense arch, but I agree with lacy on this. If they wait until the ink is dry on a deal, it's too late for any community input. I think at some point, before the final deal, and with sufficient time (say 2 weeks) for community input they will need to bring the options out, discuss them in a open meeting and allow community input (speakers). To do otherwise will leave many feeling resentment and that the community was not involved.

FYI, here is the list of suggestions M2 referred to in the article.
-Buy Brach Brodie and build immediately. (variations include using operational money, more debt and future referenda) -Delete what you must to build at Brach-Brodie and add it back with a future referendum. (variations include deleting the stadium, shrinking the capacity, cutting the pool, etc) -Build anywhere except Brach-Brodie. -Build at Macom. -Build anywhere but Macom. -Build a middle school and two additions. -Build nothing. -Let the voters revote. -Build what you can within the budget and leave it at that. -Build in the north. -Build anywhere but the north. -Lease the land for 99 years, build the school and plan to abandon it at the end of the lease.

Wagner Farms is what I call a darkhorse. Maybe the family wants out? Don't know why that's a darkhorse, you gotta sell a ton of pumpkins to make 31 million. It seems obvious to me that the 31MM settlement probable lit up Wagner's interest.

Ok - let the emails begin -- any neighbors that ask, I will give them this as should anyone here -- although I still believe that since it is only going in email form - even if you don't have anything new - but support one of these solutions ( or a group of these options) - one needs to make their feelings known. There is no excuse for anyone not sending an email. That line of communication is open, and easy to participate.
