In his letter to the editor, Mr. Margolis claims that current District 204 high schools are overcrowded. This is nonsense. I challenge you to go to either of the high schools and count the number of empty classrooms throughout the entire day. If students are sitting in the hallway where they shouldn't be, then someone should enforce basic courtesy.
Any crunch of students during peak lunch times could easily be solved by District 204 just as District 203 does; they allow students to go off campus for lunch.
There, problem solved for considerably less than $145 million.

Found this goodie in Sunday's Sun. Where do these people come from? I doubt if Mr. White has even seen NV while school has been in session. I would like him to show me these empty classrooms.

Looks like Paul White has changed the templete for his LTE. Maybe that was a new years resolution. After all, if he says the same thing only differently, people might believe him.

Mr and Mrs White,
I have read several LTE over the years and wonder if you have high school aged children that attend IPSD high schools? Of the LTEs that I have read, all talk about the high schools are not crowded and the school district does not need a 3rd high school. If your child/children have first hand experience at an IPSD high school that is not over crowded, please provide us with, "My {child/children} attend {NV or WV} High School and have never had a problem with crowded hallways, classrooms, PE classes, lunch, etc."
I do not have children in high school yet, so I have to rely on friends, message boards and the IPSD website to provide my with high school information.
I encourage you to please publish a LTE that addresses your family's experience with high school. I am finding it more and more difficult to read and believe your letters. I cannot find an example of where you share your children's story.
Thank you.

WE4 Resident I think there are alot of people (not just the White's) who question the district's enrollment predictions and the whole issue of space. Since you have younger children (I do not), I can tell you that the high schools are not as bad as the picture that has been painted by some. There is a more critical space issue with the middle schools - that the district has been in no hurry to resolve. M2 told us back during the referendum that split shifts would be necessary for the 09 school year if the third high school isn't built by then. Since that's not looking real likely, I'll be interested to see how they implement that.

No kids? Why even live in this SD then?
