Seriously? You actually want me to perpetuate the bad feelings that other areas have toward us by pitting Fry against specific ES's now? All when it is irrelevant. I spent MANY hours on boundary options and provided them to the Admin and SB both collectively and individually. I justified my options to them when I thought it mattered. I am not going to continue justifying something that, as of last night, doesn't even matter. You should have asked me last week. OK fair enough... BTW I do believe I did ask people for their suggestions last week...did not see yours. Seeing as the SD did not share with us all the different proposals. I have no idea if yours was better than what was decided last night. But your response here pretty much tells me it would have put some other area in either the same or worse position than Fry ( my interpretation it is probably the latter). You're right it does not matter anymore. Your right it doesn't. What does matter is that you not PRESSUME to know what I did or did not propose. You are proving my point and I didn't even give you my recommendations. Believe it or not, some of us actually have to travel. I did and was able to escape this nightmare for a few days. And guess what? I didn't read this board once while I was gone.

Question. At the meeting last night someone sitting near me mentioned 95th street is being extended to Eola with an overpass. I thought it was just a grade crossing. Anyone know where I go to find out about the project and get a status. City? County? Website?

Regardless, it is less expensive to bus kids 1.5 miles than 5 or 7 or more. Moreover, once you have a school that has 3,000 or 4,000 kids, it is difficult to accept the logic that another 50 or 100 or 200 matter -when it's your kids. Look at best practice info on schools: The middle school concept was created to support/scaffold the needs of this age group; a MS with 1,000 or more is contrary to the whole paradigm. HSs over 2,000 are the same. The size of our schools are so out of whack that it is difficult to accept the boundaries when it seems to already be moot. ---------- you might not know this.. but in our SD, we pay by the route so the mileage doesn't matter! i've heard and read this on this blog.. at meetings. isn't that astonishing! ;D

You could yank Welch and/and Builta and send them to WV, the second farthest school. Heck, with the precedence set, one could even send them to MV, the Farthest school. It's OK for other areas, apparently. Not being helpful.... I think it's a valid question to ask. Fry wants to stay at NV because they soon can walk, who gets booted so they can stay? and why? It's a valid answer that holds up to criteria no worse than their "solution".

My point is that anything I proposed doesn't matter anymore and to outline what is now irrelevant would only perpetuate negativity toward myself and the Fry community. Is that what your goal is?

Anyone know where I go to find out about the project and get a status. City? County? Website? ---- haven't heard a thing about this... the only thing going on is there will be a commuter parking lot with Pace(?) bus pick up just West of carillon (so more traffic); and that the underpass on north aurora rd will be worked on starting 2008-2011.. you can see all this on CONaperville site. naperville.il.us/northauroraunderpass.aspx#Latest_NewsWHEN the CN purchase goes thru(there has never been a denial- accdg to sun article yesterday), i would hope we would get a CN paid overpass on ogden... busiest crossing, i believe (that doesn't have an over- or underpass already)

Ogden and the RR tracks under/over pass will require more money than they have budgeted. I believe their idea of 'improving' are to make sure bells, lights and gates are present at the grade level crossings. Short of that, hope they bust out a bag of quick-patch and attempt to level out the bumps as you drive over them.

Fry is bussed to Neuqua. Lets be real how many walkers have you seen from Fry the last 2 years not many. Fry is going to WV with most of their school I still don't understand the problem. I guess I never will. Sushi is right there are walkers year around in the Welch area. I guess when you live some where for a while you see thing a little different. Look at the other areas that really have problems try to put yourself in their shoes. How could you see walkers already when the bridge is not yet complete?

Is it the "separated grade crossing"?

What was your point you were trying to prove? My point is that anything I proposed doesn't matter anymore and to outline what is now irrelevant would only perpetuate negativity toward myself and the Fry community. Is that what your goal is? I had no goal. I wanted to truly understand your position. I mean this sincerely. I know there are other options that also made sense, and they were ignored too. Example gatordog's many different configurations. I was hoping to be able to look at your plan, as an unaffected outsider, show you what the shortcomings might have been, as why the SB did not consider it, or have that V8 bop on the head moment of "why didn't I think of that". I have no intention of using it against your area. Maybe we both can gain some understanding from it. I, by no means have ever been a fan of the SB/Admin. If you want send it to me via PM.

I can vouch for Parent here ( not that he needs it ) - in that he is no fan of the SB/Admin - especially certain members -- I am only sorry I didn't pay closer attention to that sooner

It is too emotional now. It is hard to think rationally when one is irrational. Thanks for the spellcheck, Lacy. No problem, Sushi - glad you quit yelling at us. I was going to have to add that to the "I'm sorry" thread!
