An unhappy, selfish few in White Eagle and Tall Grass are suing District 204 over the new Metea site and boundaries. They are willing to sacrifice the needs and tax dollars of the rest of the community because they do not want to attend Waubonsie, an excellent school in Aurora.
NSFOC should be ashamed. They are motivated by narrow-mindedness and property values. The majority of Dist. 204 residents are happy with the fiscally responsible new site selection.
We cannot afford Brach-Brodie and we cannot afford the delay and legal costs associated with a frivolous lawsuit. I hope a judge will quickly dismiss this childish legal action. If not, I will line up with the rest of the Dist. 204 majority to testify that there was no "bait and switch." Informed voters knew we were passing a referendum based on land that we did not own.
By the way, three of my children have graduated from Waubonsie and all earned academic scholarships to the college of their choice.

Beth Constantine Naperville Gee, another Brookdale rsident who supports the new high school -- what a shocker. Did she write an LTE when her area tried to throw the school district under the bus at the polls - I hope so based on the tone of this note - she should have been outraged Narrow minded and slefish I guess only applies when you live south or central -- I keep forgetting her area was justified. If someone shows me an LTE from her when the 80% no was done, I will apologize...I doubt you'll find it. ( congrats though on being WVHS Booster club members - some of us would like to still be part of that - which obviously your area didn't
