-- that's 2 more, a junior and a soph ( with a few more maybe within weeks as more are in conversations) -
8 DI players 2 years ago and 4 more last year...and I'll go out on a limb here and say there are 10 more within the program that will go. Quite a run.. of course these are all top club players ( in the 16's alone there are 9 who play for the top 2 clubs in the areas best few teams). I t sure also doesn't hurt that the academics draw the schools also.
--add that to excellent coaching staff @ Benet and it makes for a very good situation

Benet players select colleges
May 7, 2010By NEIL SHALIN For Sun-Times Media
The Benet girls volleyball team continues to be a major provider of players to colleges and universities throughout the country.
The latest Redwings to give their verbal commitments are junior outside hitter Lara Ontko, who will attend the University of Mississippi and sophomore middle hitter Meghan Haggerty, who pledged to the University of Wisconsin.
Both return this fall for another season with Benet.
The Redwings advanced to the Elite Eight in the postseason this past fall and finished second at state in 2008.
"I fell in love with the people, campus and general feel of Ole Miss," Ontko said. "I knew right away it would be the right decision for me."
Benet coach Brad Baker believes Ontko, who stands 5 feet 11 inches, can be a six-rotation player at Ole Miss.
"Lara is a super athlete who has great skills in all areas," Baker said. "She has always been a force on offense, but her defense and passing have really improved over the past few years."
In club volleyball, Ontko plays for the nationally-ranked Sports Performance 17-1 team.
The 6-2 Haggerty, who is one of the more heavily-recruited high school players in the nation, has two more years of high school eligibility.
"At Wisconsin I was impressed by coach Pete Waite and his entire staff and their commitment to winning multiple Big Ten and national championships," Haggerty said. "I was also influenced by the huge amount of talent already committed for the next three years. The future is very bright for Badger volleyball and I want to be a part of it."
Haggerty, whom Baker calls a "dynamic volleyball player, is a great leaper who touches 10-3.
"She also has an extremely fast arm," Baker said. "And she will be a great teammate. She's someone the Badgers are lucky to have joining their program."
Haggerty plays two grades above her age for Sports Performance 18-1.
She led the team in blocks and hitting percentage last season for Benet.
