Dear Neuqua Valley Parents and Guardians:
I hope the summer has been an enjoyable time for you and your family. When August rolls around, we know that the start of the school year is near. On August 24, 2010, Neuqua Valley High School students will return to campus for the 2010-2011 school year. In advance of their return, I would like to highlight some important information for parents:
Construction on 95th Street: The City of Naperville has made us aware that 95th Street will be under construction beginning August 2 for watermain work. We believe this construction will continue for 8 weeks, overlapping with the opening of school. This will likely cause traffic issues at the start and end of the school day. We are planning to do all we can to minimize these issues, and I would call on you to plan ahead for the first four weeks of school given this construction project.
Registration: Now that August is here, it is critical for all families to register students. If you have not done so, registration packets were mailed in June to all current NVHS families. If you need another set of packets, they can be obtained in Class Houses and main offices at Main and Gold.
Bus Route Information: Parents and guardians can access bus route information through the IPSD District 204 web-site. Please look at the bottom of the home page under “IPSD Essentials” for the link to bus information. If you have transportation concerns or questions, please contact the Main Office at Main at 630-428-6017.
Application for Free/Reduced Meals and Requests for Fee Waivers: Information is now available on the IPSD District 204 web-site for families wishing to apply for free or reduced lunch meals and fee waivers. Information and application materials can be accessed through the link provided under “IPSD Essentials.” Please contact your student’s Class House with questions about this process.
