MV gym was very warm, MV had parts of the building cold, other parts warm. I'm wondering if climate control had a 'summer' setting that was still running instead of 'normal school year' that has to deal with more bodies.

Don't count on it. More likely it's the latest cost savings measure - along with the bring your own towels and probably buy your own books beginning next year.

Still interesting to note that you can still spend about a grand less per student (than the district's claimed per pupil expenditure) and get a much better education from one of the local private HSs...

Don't count on it. More likely it's the latest cost savings measure - along with the bring your own towels and probably buy your own books beginning next year. You've got that right! Look no farther than this week's Tribune. There was a detailed article on the increasing costs of textbooks to high school students. The article highlighted NewTrier and the costs to students there. I think it's coming to 204 sooner than later. I'd say textbook rental/purchase fees are the next cost on the horizon to 204 families. Yuck!
