Here's a way your business can reduce its climate impact while demonstrating your commitment to sustainability. For a small per package fee, you can use UPS carbon neutral to easily offset the carbon dioxide emissions generated by the transportation of your shipment. You ship as you would normally, and the climate impact is offset for you. We take care of everything, from calculating the emissions to purchasing and retiring the carbon offsets to neutralize them.
At UPS, addressing climate change is important. For UPS carbon neutral, we've partnered with world-renowned third-party verification and certification organizations to help validate this service's effectiveness.
Our carbon neutral option is verified by Société Générale de Surveillance (SGS), an inspection, testing, and verification company. This means that you can have confidence in the UPS carbon neutral method. Additionally, the UPS carbon neutral process is certified by The CarbonNeutral Company. The involvement of these organizations acts as a mark of quality and credibility for our carbon neutral shipping options.

I know we have many on this board who can offer an opinion on this issue. My question is "why should a company pay" for carbon neutral credits. The whole set-up seems like a scam to fleece the small business owner out of some cash. In our case it would be less than $200 / year to ship carbon neutral.
