District 204 gets grant Sun Staff Jan 11, 2011 02:50PM napervillesun.suntimes.com/news/3260609-418/program-204-district-grant-middle.html Bank of America has awarded District 204 a $25,000 grant to support at-risk middle school students. The funds will help build an after-school academic support program focused on reading and math. This new program will supplement and enrich the concepts taught during the school day with an emphasis on study habits, goal setting and college readiness skills. The program will focus on taking students from the “warning” and “below” status to “meets” and “exceeds” status on state standardized tests. The after-school program will be available at each middle school by February. |
