Did anyone get any wind of this from your local schools yesterday ? December 6, 2011 (AURORA, Ill.) (WLS) -- Authorities in Aurora said it was safe to send children to school Tuesday despite threats of an alleged ''Columbine-style'' attack by a student. The student is reportedly a freshman at Metea Valley High School. Parents received an automated call from the principal telling them the police and school officials have taken steps to ensure the safety of all staff and students. I am sorry but I have no idea what is going on but any mention of what is labelled a ''Columbine-style threat" by the Chicago ABC-News afiiliate in my district where students were still in the classroom needs further explanation.
what is going on? anyone have more info? I hope they are really, really sure they have the right kid and really really sure that if it was indeed a ''Columbine-style threat" that they are treating it properly.
