I just got my tax bill. It decreased by $100 overall. Gee, I feel so rich. By my back of the envelope calculation, I can now retire 0.365 days earlier. unsurprisingly, the only amount that went up was good 'ole District 204 of course Luckily it seems other local taxing bodies were at least not greedy enough to offset them...for one year.

I was not so lucky, my bill went UP $308 -- led of course by the free spending maniacs in the Crouse Center up $258 for the SD -- up $8 for the pension fund 204 multiplier rose from 4.7901 to 5.1090. a nice 6.7% increase -- for what ?
