My school will have 5 kindergarten classes next year. 5th grade is reducing a class and I believe 3rd is also. I can not remember all the changes. The grand total of classrooms is the same but the number of classrooms per grade have shifted.

Clow will have one of its lowest enrollments, only 40 kids, dropping to 2 classes from 4. They barely made four classes for this year.

The year prior to last they had only three classes, so last year was an increase over the year before. As far as the numbers are as of right now, it is my understanding that historically speaking the Kindergarten enrollment numbers will increase siginificantly over the next few weeks and over the summer. That 40 number should go up substantially, but I wouldn't be surprised if Clow only has three classes next Fall.

They might make three, but might not. A part of the drop is also due to redistricting, with Clow losing a subdivision.

Talk about a leap in conclusions on one school that is the oldest on the south side.
Flat in growth for five years? So that still means 8600-9400 kids in HS for the next 13 years.
Just becasue the rate of increase is slowing DOESN"T mean that it is NOT increasing.
Proof, please. The 2nd graders are larger than the third and first. The first is larger than the third.

That is quite true for Gombert as well. This past year we had 4 K's, 3 1st grades, 4 2nd grades and 3 - 3rd grades. I believe we are on schedule for 4 K's this coming school year as well.
