Apologies to those not involved in lawsuit
My apologies to the residents of White Eagle who are not involved in the lawsuit against D204. I should not have made an all-inclusive statement as I did and presently will change my words to include only those D204 residents who are involved in the suit. If there is a question on the safety of the land (and I will admit I do not know the true extent of the hazards on the property or that a lawsuit is the way of solving any such issue), that is one issue, but to sue on the grounds that the school board changed sites or boundaries when nothing was written in stone when the referendum was passed, seems to be for a wholly selfish reason.
As for the Tallgrass residents who are upset because you are so near to Neuqua, I am sorry that the new boundary lines have moved you to a school further away, but due to population numbers, a line must be drawn somewhere and if you look at the map, Route 59 is a logical line, although inconvenient for you.
The fact remains that money is being deleted by time, so we need to stop wasting the time. The Brach-Brodie land is not affordable if we want to build a nice school and keep good teachers in the district.

Great - another misinformed resident, RT59 wasn't used but could be a logical boundary maker. Just ask the NV principal.
Not sure what she means by "building a nice school and keeping good teachers in the district"?

Nice letter, Barb. Appreciate the distinction.
I think she's refering to being able to afford experienced teachers' salaries.

Yet another uneducated lemming published in the paper. Rt. 59 what? Did she even look at the boundaries? I didn't realize that Tamarack was on the east side of 59.

Nice letter, Barb. Appreciate the distinction. I think she's referring to being able to afford experienced teachers' salaries. You would think since SD204 is great we should have great teachers clawing to get in regardless of their salaries. Paying more $$ doesn't guarantee you are a good teacher. You cant assume tenure is either. The Rt59 misquote??

lot of hostility on this board today That's what happens when people try to frame everything as an US versus THEM mentality.

Actually I think she is typical. I was at the residents meeting at the White Eagle Club a few weeks ago and was astounded and appalled at how uninformed so many were. It was like, "Huh?" and "What?" What I have found is that many people don't take the time to really get into all the facts. Then when it suddenly hits them in the face its "We didn't know!"

I have found that many who are "disgusted" by the lawsuit don't even really know what it is about. They just think it is about a tantrum being thrown by some residents. I think we can all thank JHB for her ridulous commentary for that perception.

This is true of all communites, not just WE. The same thing happened when we were trying to garner votes for the referendum (stupid us). Some moms with toddlers didn't know much about it or understand the facts because it was not on their radar at the time.

I just read that info. and feel physically ill. I am ill because, as usual, the OBVIOUS is being totally dismissed by this incompetent SB. When does this become negligence on the part of the admin. and SB? What about reckless endangerment of a child? Seriously. Why aren't the papers (Sun & DH) publishing any of this? Maybe because it's REAL news and they don't know what to do with that.

Someone should send it to the Sun or Herald school reporter. If I get time later, I will.

This community needs to wake up and realize that it is NOT 2 neighborhoods feeling this way....Tallgrass and WE. Do you research people! Just spoke to a parent that IS slated to attend MV.....not pleased AT ALL and is involved with NSFOC.
