'Silent majority' is not so silent
The "silent majority" is speaking up. It was my hope that the lawsuit filed by two areas within District 204 regarding boundaries would be seen for the transparent attempt at entitlement that seems so obvious. It is my fear that the loudest voice will be the only one heard. It is my belief that people are much more intelligent than to be swayed by claims so far-fetched as to be laughable. The school district is not a perfect entity. I have been frustrated at times with the process. I do believe the new Eola site for the third high school is a wonderful site. I do believe we need a third high school. I believe the boundaries are fair. Fair - what a concept. This is not about entitlement. This is about what is best for the majority of the district. Do I feel bad that some subdivisions have to drive farther? You bet. Do I feel bad that some middle schools are divided? More than you can imagine. Do I feel bad that some people just want to go to the high school they deem acceptable? No. Never.

"Look up (as I did) the addresses of the two residents (Krey and Constantine) who have had their letters to the editor published in favor of the location of the new school in district 204. Not a real surprise that they live within a block of each other on the far north side of Naperville. The point of this comment is that everyone has their own agenda and motivation.....including Sue Krey and Beth Constantine, even if they attempt to hide it." --posted by 204 on Wed Mar 12, 2008 9:22 PM -- Comment section: www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=151586&src=I love people sometimes.

"Silent Majority is not so Widespread" seems more appropriate
