I wasn't implying that Erin was the bully in this. Only trying to figure out what she doesn't understand about people giving TG a "negative stigma" after the lawsuit filed by residents of that neighborhood. I said it is the EQUIVALENT of a bully wondering why no one likes him/her because of his/her actions.

I have no issue with her or anyone else standing up for what they believe in, but I feel that this is a situation where if you say it long enough, you begin to believe it yourself. This lawsuit is about gettting their way as evidenced by Shawn Collins statements in the DH today. Nothing in those reports will convince some people otherwise. Again, I'm happy her neighbors were there for her during the loss of her father, but just because people are friendly neighbors doesn't necessarily make them community minded.

MM is a BULLY, he has displayed this many times....he is an embarrassment to 204...again why is he fighting for a polluted piece of land...he obviously doesn't want the best for the children in 204.

However you seem to be OK with the fact you were able to view it- I asked you to put yourself in their shoes - it could happen to any one of us. Someone may enjoy the view of your place - or mine -- is that still OK ? That's the question -

As far as my friends concerns - it may be ad nauseum to you- but if you were the parents that has had to deal with all those issues for years again, ( and you had medical opinions telling you it could be environmental ) I don't think ad nauseum would be a term you'd use. Which is why it sickens me to see some posting places and enjoying ripping into these people - tells me a lot.

Erin, I am very sorry for your loss and I am very proud of you for taking a stand for what you believe in! I am hopeful that there will be many others in the next weeks who step forward and join you in that it is a priviledge that we have the right in this country to express a voice against injustice in our society .

Democracy is not just about the will of the majority...it is also about protecting the rights of every single citizen. These rights are being trampleled on by members of the school Board and Dr. Daeschner, and they justify their actions because there are certain members of the community that support moving forward as quickly as possible (we all have self interests that come into play, but they should not be at the expense of due process, due diligence and fiscal responsibility).

There are literally hundreds of thousands of people who have died for your right to stand up for what you believe in and participate in this process. Unfortunately, our District has made it clear that they believe that they only represent certain sections of the community, and I appreciate you stepping forward for the rights of so many.

There are many definitions of what makes up a hero, and you and Chuck, along with the other individual plaintiffs, are true heros in that you are willing to step up and do what is right (even if "Sushi" thinks otherwise...which is also her right).

I look forward to the day that this matter is resolved in a reasonable way. God bless you and your family and thabk you again on behalf of so many.

I had the pleasure (NOT) of speaking with one of the school board members at the meeting when people were left standing outside and he flat out told me and my husband that the SB feels TG/WE has issues and they are not even listening to any issues these neighborhoods may have......not that was quite stupid to say! Think it don't say it. On a different note, just found out that AME is jumping for joy at the prospect of selling the land because church members have very same concern about safety and many have about attending school on this land. Now fancy that! And guess what....NONE LIVE IN TG OR WE. Well one lives in WE but you get my point.

And then I come back to this crap. To be honest I am tired of this. Seriously get over it. If the lawsuit is nothing then nothing will come of it. Do not worry your northern school is safe. Your 80% no voting orange shirts should be happy.

I have no sympathy for the named plaintiffs for having lost some privacy; they did choose this.

However, I truly hope that everyone in our community can have the proper respect for the legal and political process and leave these people and families alone.

I really have to view that file naming the plaintiffs. I need to get my thank you cards ready and start baking my cookies. I am so grateful that someone has the b*lls to step up to the plate and take a stand against this ridicuous SB and Admin. I haven't written my check yet but with every pass the buck response I receive from ISBE, etc..., I wonder what other choice is there?

Wouldn't those named represent the board for that group and not the whole? I know that they have MANY financial backers. This is obvious by the fact that they can take on this enormously expensive task. What about everyone who attended the meetings? I guess we could see about getting their license plate numbers from that "fraud" person writing them down at their last meeting. Puleeez!

Dirty, dirty, dirty intimidation tactics. Yet another nail in the coffin and something else to back up my belief in who the righteous are. They are the ones who stand in the sun and bravely have the light shined on them. I applaud their courage. We NEED answers and we deserve the whole truth. and that would be the right thing- but some of the verbage printed already - like " we'll smoke em out " certainly doesn't sound that way does it. They knew when they put their names on the complaint that people would know who they were - however based on some actions last election go around - a few people just do not know how to act.
