How about "Willard Scott High School"? ;-)
Realistically speaking, does anyone know the names of Chief Waubonsie's other sons? Nequa is the only one who seems to have gotten any press, as he later became chief himself.

Prairie Commons High School(PCHS) My daughter went to Prairie Children Pre-School (PCPS) and the new school is right down the street from this one, and it is on Commons. Since there are not any mountains around, or any valleys for that matter, why not call it "Commons" because it is on Commons. aka Politically Correct High School......

Waubonsie and Neuqua were from the Potawatomi tribe, which means "keeper of the flame / fire" So, Orange would be an appropriate color. The bigger question you'd need to ask yourself is if you want to send your kid to "Pot High", where the symbol is a flame ;D Ronald Reagan High? Would LOVE it. Prairie Commons works too, although I've got a bad feeling our mascot would be a prairie dog.....

I think you should use my screen name "blank check high" because if this goes through, that is what we have given this board not only for this referendum but for the one in 2009.

I feel I need to explain the "Willard Scott High School" joke as it went way over most people's heads. I was not talking about the rather rotund weatherman, and I was truly kidding, so don't blast me for this, or take me seriously. Willard Scott, a pioneer Naperville settler and founding father, by the Pottawattomi Indians who came to Northern Illinois about 1720. Around 1830, Scott and his parents opened a trading post along the DuPage River, about three miles south of present-day Naperville. Brave, daring, and intelligent, Willard Scott quickly made an impact on early DuPage County history. Throughout his rich and eventful 84-year life, Scott was highly respected in his community as a man of unswerving honesty, sound judgement, and scrupulous integrity. His ability to effectively manage Indian affairs, his expertise at peacefully settling disputes between settlers and native Americans, and his remarkable skills in backwoods crafts, tracking, and hunting earned him the well deserved title of "White Eagle." Willard Scott was held in such high esteem by his Pottawattomi neighbors that they also made him an Indian Chief. whiteeagle.ipsd.org/about_hx.aspAgain, I am joking, I would not seriously propose to name the new HS "White Eagle High", even in a roundabout way. I can't believe nobody caught on to this, even on the "other" board.
