I created this board because a group of us from the VoteNO board wanted a neutral place and an editing function to discuss the SD. I encourage everyone to voice their opinion by joining the discussion. You just might have a view that opens our eyes to something we have missed.
One rule I would like for all to follow is, please respect other posters. Nothing good ever comes from flame wars. (I should have posted this earlier.)
Thanks and enjoy the edit and spell check function,
Topher

To all on this board.....
There seems to be an influx of new people to the board and to that I say welcome.
I find it a bit disturbing that a few recent posts paint this board as a "Yes" board for the School District, and that if your don't follow the "party line" you will get booted. I want all to know that is not the case. If you have a dissenting veiw on anything please feel free to post it. However, you must also be prepared to defend it. I, for one have ALWAYS been against the BB site.....and will be until ground breaking.....I have presented my reasons, and defended my position. I am not in the majority, but I am still here. What we have a low tolerance for here is rehashing of really old subjects (easily researched in the archives) and personal attacks, which seem to be occurring more frequently lately. Who determines what is a personal attack?...The Mods do......
That is all for now.

WVHSparent,
I find you to be very fair minded, and I appreciate your above remarks. However, I would like to say that it is my perception that those with a dissenting view are required to "defend" their remarks much more than others are required to. And why should someone have to defend every opinion they have anyway?
In addition, it is also my perception that personal attacks are leveled quite frequently at those with a dissenting view and what is tolerated in that regard would not be tolerated if it was the other way around.
Thank you.

OK I will add....any view by any poster should able to be defended...pro or con.......
One has to remember everyone's perception of things is a little different, so if anyone questions any post, let's try to do it civilly on both sides. I am not going to name names, because they know who I am speaking of.

Simple request and only a request...
Please don't devolve into the blue versus green garbage that seems to be cropping back up.
I'm not running any sort of popularity contest nor do I wish to try to drive anyone to any one particular place. (Not even to the 'lovefest' as some have put it)
I'm starting to see the beginnings of yet another juvenile-style smear campaign out there about who has facts and who doesn't.
Everyone has facts from their own point of view, and all of those views are welcome here. Just thought I should put that out there for anyone who cares.

Thanks Arch It would seem easier if one would not have to go back and forth to get info. But being a green pea there always seems to be more to things than what is avail. at first glance. Keep up the research even though I am sure it will be viewed by "many a critical eye"

Keep up the research even though I am sure it will be viewed by "many a critical eye" In all honesty, even the 'union' of both boards does not have the 'whole picture'. No one place does. We all have to be as diligent as we want to or can be to get as much information as possible to form our opinions. To help people out, the other week I posted the green link in the news banner itself. You can click on it as it scrolls by to get there. To me, this is about providing people with the places and sources to help get them started on information gathering. Google is another useful tool in that pursit as is the web archive located at: www.webarchive.orgYou can search for sites and their historical revisions (www.ipsd.org is a fun one to go back over as it existed back in time with information). I just don't want or appreciate the 4th grade smear campaigns of "Oh, don't you listen to them over there or at that other place"... it smells too much like censorship in my book and that never leads to a good outcome. History is proof of that.

In light of trying to move forward and work together again, if anyone who has an account on 'green' can please pass along this problem and have it resolved, I would appreciate it.

I knew I was not popular, but I didn't know I was explicitly banned from ever signing up.
