Oh no worries, I believe everything I read on the internet :)Cement companies are transitory businesses at point of need. Does not surprise me given the level of development in the area. Just means we are growing. You can make light of this all you want, I believe that Oswego SD and the city Aurora might not care to lose revenue especially when it costs them nothing. ETA: Our SD needs them to approve this plan. I just don't think it would be as easy as many are making it seem.

For instance, I take great pause from blankcheck's last post. I can not look inside the minds of the Oswego SD and the city Aurora so its good info to put on the list. And to ask the SB about.

Approve what plan? What would be easy? Please explain, Gatormom! The school at Hamman would be located in Oswego SD. They would have to approve our school in their district. This would mean a loss of revenue to them as the area is zoned light industrial with no children going into their schools. I am not sure how they would react, I wonder how our district would react. The City of Aurora would also lose revenue as well. I would guess that if there were no other land available in the City of Aurora, this would be a slam dunk but there is AME. The city of Aurora could also put road blocks in front of this piece of land.

napermom--
Let me try to clear up the confusion. What was released was staff's recommendation for a site and some material to justify that decision.
That does not mean that is what it will be. The School Board is who makes that decision with a vote.
While there's a proposal put forth, it is not official in any capacity yet. That is what supposedly will happen on Tuesday; to accept or reject staff's recommendation.

The Naperville Sun ran a story about that Naperville Homeowners' Meeting yesterday (Sun p. 5) saying that Dr. D. talked about no redistricting (and I have to assume this means ESs here) until after the new high school was built. Nothing was mentioned about these new price deals on these other parcels of land (not that it wasn't said). If Dr. D. made it seem that other parcels were on the table, wouldn't the Sun have reported that? What's going on?

I would insist on the admin. and sb telling the public what the boundaries will be for the new high school as soon as possible after their decision is made on the site. It is unfair to current 6th and 7th graders to not know where they are going to attend high school. These kids should be able to get excited about their high school years and part of that is knowing where the heck that is going to be!

Did IPSD ask the Oswego district? Did they get and answer?
