I thought a thread with only questions that should be asked of the powers that be should be started to all questions could be consolidated in one area. Dialogue on specific questions maybe should be answered on seperate respective threads. Here are just a couple that i have. Eagledad - maybe you want to add you questions in here to.
What is the timeline on taking down the peaker plant? Is there a guarantee from the seller as to when it will come down to ensure MV will open in 2009? I've heard it will take about a year to take down so how does that impact the development of the site?
What is the cost related to the wetlands remediation(if that is the correct term) and is it reflected in the numbers presented on the ipsd204 website?
What is the timeline to perform the remediation? Has this been taken into consideration in relation to opening MV in 2009?
If the above issues hinder opening MV in 2009:
Is there a cost reduction from the seller?
Does this change the staffs recommendation?
Is it true the power station will remain on the adjacent property and only the peaker plant is being removed?
What additional safety concerns arise due to the natural gas line running through the middle of the property(didn't remember seeing that listed as a disadvantage)? Has the higher level of safety necessary to develop the property because of the gas line been reflected in the costs?
The above questions relate to the "likely" opening of the school in 2009. Any problems with any of the issues above jeopardizes the "likely" opening in 2009. It does not appear that the "likely" opening of MV in 2009 is as easy as has been portrayed.
