I can't let this post go without putting in my two cents. I live right by the school and see all the cars lined up everyday. I rarely (especially in winter) see people outside their cars talking, so unless you physically got out of your car and walked up and down to each car on the street telling people you were voting no and where you lived, I find it hard to believe your comment. How would all these people who you say took the time on their busy Saturday to drive around your cul-de-sac (on the off-chance that you would be outside) just to glare at you, find out where you lived? To me this is just another example of someone trying to make people look bad. I also find it interesting that you say "Friday" and "this weekend" -- there was no school Friday! I was mistaken, it was the last day of school last week, instead of the holiday. In any case it was the last day of school and I just offhandedly thought of it as Friday. My mistake just like I should have kept quiet at school. I am sure you have lost tract of the days once.

Greenvalley - I am extremely confused by your post. There was no school on Friday. Teachers were off site in meetings all day. There was no school wed PM thru Friday....so unless the teachers were rallying and scouting the neighborhood, this seems suspect to me also.......

Greenvalley - No, I can't really say that I've lost track of vacation days, especially when my kids are off school. I've never showed up to drop them off on a Saturday or day off and the doors were locked. But maybe I'm in the minority.

Greenvalley, I am sorry you are having troubles with your neighbors....seems WE tend to be on the extremes both pro and con.....Could some of it also be attributed to a heightened sensitivity? If anyone here gets in your face let me, fence or Topher know. Thank you. It doesn't bother me; in fact I find it somewhat amusing and am sitting back and watching it all and am surprised how some people are really in a frenzy over this. My personal belief is I wish we would start over with a new board and more civility. 204 is a grat district with great schools and it is being torn apart. What ever the outcome, these wounds will not heal right away. I also get the feeling that people are more concerned about property values then the kids. I was at the big meeting at Waubonsie about a month or two ago and one of the board members stated the fact that geography was more important to education judging by the Emails recieved by the board. I just hope of the best which ever the outcome.
