So, topher was threatened & blackmailed into leaving this board, and temporarily shutting it down. You can see what transpired here: ipsd204.proboards76.com/index.cgi?board=ed&action=display&thread=1142627461Some of this came from the TG204 yahoo group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TG204/ ). Between the email he was sent & the TG group discussions, there were threats of releasing his name, address & phone number, as well as the threat of a lawsuit. Anyone want to defend what was done to him? Anyone think that he did anything wrong? What do people think about the main poster(s) on TG204?

Topher has always shown nothing but class even when he disagreed with someone. Too bad that the CFO group is so afriad of an honest discussion.
I can't get on the TG204 board. They say I am not a member, I registered with Yahoo and they still say that I am not a member. Am I doing someting wrong?
Can someone Cut and Paste some of the conversations from the TG204 board.

No, you haven't done anything wrong, they have closed that board to anonymous browsing (i.e. public viewing) and are no longer letting anyone else in. They have also kicked off every pro-referendum backer who dares to post, or ask questions.

It is terrible what extremes people will go through to keep people from having discussions regarding this referendum. I truly believe that the "other” site stopped its message board because so many people were disputing the information they had on their web site. I have appreciated what Topher has done with this site over the past several months it’s a shame that there are “educated” people that would take the measures they have taken.
How can someone be so against a 3rd high school being built that they would threaten lawsuits against private citizens? It is just plain crazy. Hey, maybe if they don't waste their money on frivolous lawsuits they can afford to pay taxes for the new school.
Vote Yes on Tuesday

Can we run an ad in the paper so that everyone knows this site exists. I think that they only cost around 50 dollars? I would be willing to pay the money.

In Topher's absence, I have agreed to help moderate the board in the coming days.
For those cowards who have threatened Topher after all the work he has done to bring together all of us........You have shamed yourself, your family, your community and your district.
If anyone wants to come after me, I will be standing outside my house for the next 5 minutes. If you want to attack someone, I will be waiting. If you want my VoteYes sign, you can take it from my cold, dead hands!
After the election, hopefully things will return to normal so we can go about trying to work on some of the districts problems together...and then hopefully, Topher will make his return.

Well, the admin there has to approve each user & until you get in, you can't even view their "discussions". The admin may, rightfully, be afraid of letting any new users in. Even if you get in, all you'll see is a lot of anti-referendum, anti-SB venom & a lot of FUD. It gets old real fast. I don't know how many real contributing users there are - probably only a couple, using multiple monikers, to give the appearance of a greater quantity of people that think their way. And if you dare to engage them in a discussion, you'll get get kicked out. In summary, the TG204 board is not really worth anyone's while to bother with. One sample "discussion", for those who are interested (this example isn't so much nasty as it is an example of the FUD):

Noone showed up. I guess they are all talk and no action, as we all suspected. Can we run an ad in the paper so that everyone knows this site exists. I think that they only cost around 50 dollars? I would be willing to pay the money. Proschool, I think you are on to something. Topher had a thread about "trying to grow this board", so I think we should continue towards that cause.

So they just ask a bunch of questions and get there noses bnet out of shape when someone tries to answer. You're right; it's not worth anyone's while to bother with.

The TG board admin appears to not be approving anyone new. They've locked up the board. I agree with warrior. 1) It's a yahoo board, which means that there is no order to the messages and you can't keep discussions together very well, so it's hard to follow. Yahoo boards have no features. Yahoo boards basically suck. 2) I joined the TG board a while back when someone mentioned it here, but when I looked at the messages, I didn't see any information that I could use to get more information about the referendum. After my first look a while back, I never went back until today, so I haven't really been following them, but from what I saw today I don't think they've added any information that's useful.

I read the TG board NEVER has anyone threatened to release his name. That is simply incorrect and should not be said.

"I think this Topher person should be outed. Please contact the media and disclose his name and address. "
ED pulled this off the TG board and posted it.

I could have been an email sent directly to Topher with enough personal info in it to make him take the action he did.
