I have been really trying to accept the new site and my school’s assignment (Cowlishaw) and move past this whole thing, but I just can’t. I showed a family member that is not from this area and my son the new site and both comments were why do we have to go so far. I have spoke to several parents in the district about the boundaries and they do not even know where Cowlishaw is. Before anyone tells me to stop whining try taking the ride instead of just supplying google maps. With 3 High Schools there is no reason that any schools in this district have to travel to the furthest. I will have to deal with this situation until 2019. You are not whining in my book. You are expressing your opinion. That is what this place is all about. And I for one completely agree with you. I think the second furthest school doctrine should be followed. No one goes further than that.

Looks like 38 years to me. What products currently run through the ones on site? How old are the ones in the RR right of way? That is part of Lakehead like 6a online in 1969 Because they have had trouble lately using ED to install a new one to boost capacity, they have installed additional pumps on the 6a line to boost the throughput. Nice of them to up the pressure on a 39 year old pipe so they can keep up w/ demand in Lockport. Thanks guys.

Why do you have sympathy for the commutes of Watts/Owen, but not for Fry? Why the double standard? And if the bridge makes Fry walkers - why shouldn't they walk? Why the double standard? I'll tell you why Watts commute will be 5.7 miles Owen's commute will be more than 7 miles Fry you ask? 3.8 miles and less than 15 minutes. See link tinyurl.com/3dyyw9It just plain makes sense for Fry to be the ES to move. The closest walker at Fry to NV is 1+ miles from the school. At Welch the nearest walker is a 100 yards. I have no agenda here, these are just the facts. I used your link, and my home on Rollingridge, the route auto changed to go 59 to 83rd then left. The distance was 5.7 (same as Watts)miles, and I would drive right past NVHS. NO CHANCE it is 15 min. Fry is the elementary school, but the attendance area is 95-103rd. I live accross from Scullen, so to be acuate that would be the location to measure.

Head north on Gleneagles Dr toward 87th St 0.1 mi 2. Turn left at 87th St 1.6 mi 4 mins 3. Turn right at Book Rd 0.5 mi 1 min 4. Turn left at 83rd St 2.8 mi 6 mins 5. Turn right at Middlebury Dr 0.2 mi 1 min 6. Turn left at Long Grove Dr 0.6 mi 2 mins 7. Turn right at S Eola Rd 0.1 mi There you go Fry.. send SB to WV.. it's not the farthest school and there are no walkers. And if they go to WV, there would be no split middle schools.

Don't we all just sit in total frustration realizing that the root of all this discussion is a BAD SITE?! A bad site that they want to close on March 10th!!! If these folks would just slow down and rethink! It's so obvious when you try to make a sensible boundary plan that you CAN'T because of this terrible site!!!

There you go Fry.. send SB to WV.. it's not the farthest school and there are no walkers. Oooops!! I just figured out one of the major reasons that won't happen ! Our buddy, Curt Bradshaw just moved to Breckenridge. He won't be neighbors with JC anymore! So that means both he and AT will fairly represent the SB community. Do you think that AT and CB will support a boundary plan to move SB to WV? I thought CB loved WV. Why did he choose to move on to NV? If he did want to guarantee that his kids would go to NV, I'd think his move to Breckenridge would be considered gutsy. Especially after AT's emotional "Big I" supporting the third site. Maybe since both CB and AT seem to be so happy with Waubonsie they will want to have their neighborhood move? Would they consider moving SB to WV? I think it makes sense and they should look into it.

I said it multiple times, I don't care what boundaries look like for my kids, if it's a site with the least amount of hazards. I'll happily drive by a shiny new school to go to the oldest one, and I will happily start up a new school.. if it's at a site with the least amount of hazards.

It is a terrible site. I honestly wonder what would happen if the SB had the guts to go back to the public and ask what they'd prefer: pay BB or settle for MWGEN? I know there is about 20% that might support mwgen but I'd think the majority would want the BB land given the alternative. I worry about the site with regards to environmental issues, transportation costs, bus times, walk-away and legal costs of BB, etc. Come on! This can't be the best we can do for $150M

Oh, wait we would have to wait till 2010 for that site.

BB and Wagner, or Plainfield East turnkey ready to go in August 2008 I could

I was not really expecting a positive response. Just putting the ball on the tee and waiting for someone to smack it.

How much does BB want to drop everything and sell another 40 acres right now? Obviously they don't want to keep it so what's the price. Does anyone even know?
I heard from someone in real estate developement that the PREIT project has been suspended.
