So, does this mean that when the SB goes back to BB and says, "okay we'll give you $518k/acre for the BB land" that BB will say "no way" since this is a new offer in a different year and then the SB will be back in court fighting for a new price for this land, which if it goes the way it has in the past might have an $800k/acre price on it?  ?? could happen I suppose - we are the ones who walked away from the deal as dealt to us by the jury based on our suit. If we weren't prepared to follow thru on it then we should never have taken the steps we did. I hope it doesn't happen, and I would hope maybe somehow the courts would bail us out of this one - but we are where we are because of decisions we made. When BB did not accept $257 / per for the rest of the land - that was decision time. But instead we filed a condemnation suit for the property. We told everyone including the courts we wanted that land. We could have walked away at that point- but of course the referendum vote was coming up and we promised people that land for the HS and didn;t want to do anything to jeaopardize what appeared to be ( and turned out to be) a majority vote. They would have to have come back and said, okay it might not be BB, and the boundary nightmare we went through might be for naught -- see ya at the polls. We chose a different path and with the support of 60%+ of the voters. |

If BB refuses the offer for 518k/acre we get off the hook for damages. Also we agreed never to comdemn BB again so there is no going back to a jury. |

Just pony up and get it done and over with for good. I said this back in Oct... it would have been cheaper to just buy it then and get it built versus any other options.
