No typo, in my opinion. FOIA the document and the invoice for the survey.

I put through channels the request that both M2 and SD publicly state the error and tell everyone that it was a simple cut/paste error or whatever they term it.

We'll see if that happens...

I noticed in the plans that it appears the peaker plant is still together. Was wonder if it is still there because it will be there when the school opens or was not set to be dismantled when the plans were drawn up, say in 2007 if not a typo.

At the Fry meeting tonight, CB stated it was an error as well. Unfortunately, I don't believe him because of all of the misinformation put out by the district and school board.

A DOUBLE error in both survey date and copyright?

I don't think so. A FOIA would prove it was not a "date error".

When you mod a drawing you change the revision / rev level. which in this case is incredibly poor document control. It is interesting to note that the new revision level is "C". What happened to revision "B" as the drawing dated this afternoon is out of sequence - explain that one Roake? For CAD document control, you don't just jump to a new revision. Fred created the drawings, Chuck checked them and Chuck made the most recent mod, but again, it is out of sequence. Also notice the file drive/name is different. You don't XXXXX out data on a drawings, especially Copyright dates/years. If you make a mod, it is recorded on your server - in this case G drive so you know what is the most current drawing. This really smells. Bet they'll get a call from Helm.

A few were gone months ago, were they not? To be fair, THAT could have been a cut/paste onto the survey but still, that was done some X amount of time prior when they indeed were there. Same as indicated on the Phase 2 reports.

Let me inject this pause again... for anyone thinking this is a "Witch Hunt"

For me, it isn't. It's a simple exercise in going over all of the documentation and numbers and pointing out where things are wrong.

If a bunch of people on a message board who are not getting paid anything by anyone can do this on their own you better believe that 2 huge law firms full of lawyers who are drawing NICE SALARIES can and will do an even more thorough job over the documentation. I hope the district is prepared for this... By that, I mean I hope the district residents are prepared for the nice new line-item on their tax bill which will be for whatever judgement results from the B&B lawsuits.

I'm just reading all this stuff about the site plan and really think we'll be screwed by the BB suit. Since the SB already closed on the land, will they a. sell the land back and build at BB to save the money? or b. continue to build at Eola and merely pay the lawsuit damages by increasing our taxes? My guess is b.

Because of this, our ONLY hope of not having to pay all these damages is for the NSFOC lawsuit to prevail first - BEFORE BB's damages come in. I seriously think this is our district's ONLY out - to have the NSFOC lawsuit be a success. Does anyone see it any differently? Assuming BB will get awarded significant damages?

This is how crazy it would look like now, if they had the guts to put it out:

This option was created by applying pressure to the spine and pocketbooks of all district 204 residents, especially those who really deserve it in WE and TG. We had to give them the shaft at all costs.
· Based upon feedback received from the community, geography was given a higher weight, so we ignored it totally, and increased the gap in achievement just to spite the community.
· This option randomly balances enrollment appropriately based upon finagle's variable constant algorithm, guaranteeing an empty white elephant in the north, an overstuffed WVHS, and a protected igloo in NVHS for those unaffected.
· All existing walkers will now ride rocket buses.
· Option 5A does the best job of minimizing the number of schools and children moved, so we went with the exact opposite.
· Option 5A moves 7 schools – the lowest of any options that were considered. So we multiplied these numbers together and decided to upset the apple cart for 35 sub-communities, which we split according to the Delphi principal. We are pleased to announce that fighting is now occurring block-to-block just like we planned.
· Only 1 school is split in 5A– the 60 children in Chesapeake Landings from McCarty will walk to
the new school and not attend Waubonsie. This didn't shake things up enough, so we decided to triple-lindy split the community of Petersen, sending off those kids to 3 different planets. We also tried to maximize the number of middle school splits, and take busing options away from grandfathered students who though they could escape our wrath.
· Option 5A moves 3,407 children (34% of the total). Our new option, moves 34,070 students because of the middle school splits and future adjustments to fill up the empty MVHS, and kids leaving town to attend private school and back filled in with new kids, who will decide to leave the next year because of the lack of programs in D204.
· For Option 5A, 4 schools will cross railroad tracks to get to and from their schools –
Brookdale, Peterson, Gombert, and McCarty. This was not sufficent, and we wanted to guarantee equality and are making every community cross the railroads twice a day, and we have enlisted the canucks to increase the number of trains 700% to really bring us back to dark-ages medieval style torture.
· The geographic map for Option 5A is understandable and straightforward with most
elementary schools being contiguous with other elementary schools that feed each high
school except for Peterson and Brookdale. This was not imaginitive enough, so we started with a clean slate. Following the guidelines used in creating corn mazes, we started with a picture of Abraham Lincoln's head and filled in boundaries to match the pattern, and here's what we ended up with.
· Using ISAT scores, the academic achievement gap, which is currently 7.4%, is narrowed to
5.0% with option 5A. We wanted to outdo that, so we added the numbers together, and managed to have an achievement gap of 12.4%, clearly higher and better than before!
· Using All-State scores, the academic achievement gap, which is currently 8.0%, is narrowed
to 5.3% in 5A. We added them together to get 13.3% in our new option! Wave your hands in the air to show support!
· Option 5A will significantly lower the total commuting miles traveled each day from the
current 38,282 miles to approximately 34,828 miles for a decrease of 9%. This will result in
time and fuel savings for both the district and for families. The weighted average commute in
miles for the district will be 2.7 miles from each elementary school to its high school. April FOOLS! This was 5A, and we are going for the Guiness record people. We will not fall short of our goal of the 100K club, 100K miles/day!!!!
· Waubonsie will have 25/9 split elementary and middle schools assigned to it, before the first adjustment period to send more troops north to the battlefront. The new high school will have 2 elementary schools in it...that's it to start with...sorry!
Neuqua will have 70 Naperville schools and 10 Bolingbrook school assigned to it.

You are very welcome. I had to come and see for myself what all this talk is about the "bad people in the South". Seemed like a great group of parents to me. I was surprised to hear CB state he felt sorry for you all though.....or whatever term he used for the heat that is misplaced at your subdivision.
