Sorry folks, I just wanted to head back to the topic of "What I want the SB to know". I want them to know that kharma is a b*tc* and I fully believe that what goes around comes around. So when they are smuggly playing this district just remember that what you give out comes back to you twofold. We may never see the way the kharma kicks back at them but I am confident that it will. Call it a hard earned life lesson. I've always subscribed to the Wiccan rule of three. As soon as Brach trust files, there will be 3 lawsuits. careful bringing up Wiccans, some will be on about Halloween celebrations again

the legacy this group will leave behind is one of complete mistrust and I am sure every future candidate will go through extreme scrutiny as to hidden motives and objectives. And likely some will run who will have a 'my area needs representation too' platform, as well as those who will run with the entire district in mind. I too hear 3/4 will not run again ( don't know if that's true or not) - so there will be a different makeup- but the divisions they have created will be here for a long time - maybe forever as I hear rumblings of splitting 204 into 2 districts. This is the legacy they will leave behind...and it's not a good one... Hey Doc - this concept of splitting 204 into two districts...what have you heard and how would this work? Seems very complicated to me...though I'm interested

A subject we should all be able to agree on.
What about Midwest Gen cleaning up their land?
Should we allow a company who worries about public opinion to leave a portion of our city and school district to be contaminated with known issues? I was not worried about the land after remediation, but it appears they have abandoned the clean up project.
My suggestion, clean up the site, and sell to the park district (Aurora or Wheatland) for baseball and soccer fields. An unacceptable result is leave the peaker plant site un-remediated until they go bankrupt and leave it for a superfund site that the taxpayers have to clean up.

They will just go back to generating power, placing a big Iron Giant newfangled generator on there. They will either do that , or sell the land to a company who will put a new glue factory on there...Who says they will clean it up? ? It is an industrial area, don't ya know?

I agree....why would they? 204 didn't buy their land....Our SB didn't care about or seem to find it an issue, so why would they clean it up? This is no disrespect, but our SB would have bought it from them basically as is, so why should they clean it up? Our SB is full steam ahead; they don't care about anything other than building the 3rd HS....

If the SB/Admin of IPSD 204 didn't have a problem with the site, why should Midwest Gen clean it up? Our SB/Admin don't didn't care enough about the ramifications of this location to insist that it be cleaned up BEFORE they purchased it and they should have for the sake of the kids. I mean why in the world would MG clean up the site when the people who are responsible for the health and safety of the students didn't care enough to insist on a clean up BEFORE negotiating a land deal. We all must remember that it was MG that walked away, not the SB.

Yep, that old phrase "careful what you wish for" has certainly come to light. You guys wished for no MWG and look what you ended up with. It is a shame it will never get cleaned up now.
Maybe some political figures in our area can put some pressure on them to clean it up.

The blame for this site and all that goes with it lies squarely with the decision makers - period.

Don't worry doc.. any accident there and we'll get blamed too...... you know.. warning people of the dangers and risks means it's your fault when someone else decided to put a school there and something bad happens. Thank god for video taped evidence.
