Was there any press coverage of the event? I don't think so but it's a shame the press wasn't there. I was amazed at the turnout. The clubhouse was way over capacity. I would guess 2 times the expected turnout number. Those in attendance were new faces. I do not think the majority was from Tall Grass. Many new faces in the crowd. In fact, based on the questions presented to Shawn Collins, I think the surprising percentage of parents in attendance were from neighborhoods other than Tall Grass or White Eagle. It was a surprise to me to hear from Cowlishaw, Longwood parents asking questions of Collins. Honestly, a real mixed crowd tonight. There were some in attendance from the opposition. I won't say who they are but look for their posts on the meeting on the green board. I would hope that they will post the truth. I was worried someone would call the FD. Thankfully, the "bass turd" didnt. LOL! Ha ha... Tee hee...

It was a large and diverse crowd and the input from others only fortified the lawsuit. Thanks to the members from Cowlishaw, Longwood, Watts and WVHS parents who came out to meet us and express their support (yes advice, history and Cash Donations!)
All are welcome....we have nothing to hide. Like Shawn said tonight .... his points of fact are taken directly from quotes from the SB members. especially terms like 'that would be a bait and switch.....: we won't do that!'

Was there any press coverage of the event? I don't think so but it's a shame the press wasn't there. I was amazed at the turnout. The clubhouse was way over capacity. I was really worried that a certain "bass turd" would call the fire department and squeal that we were in violation. I won't say who they are but look for their posts on the meeting on the green board. I would hope that they will post the truth. There were at least two green boarders in attendance. I have no problem with the fact you were there. I only hope you represent the truth behind what you heard tonight. I was worried someone would call the FD. Thankfully, the "bass turd" didnt. LOL! Ha ha... Tee hee... Met lots of people tonight, kinda felt like midnite at a masquerade ball -- and I am glad to have met everyone and glad this forum provides people with the opportunity to share information as well as sometimes to change opinions - and if not, have a good debate on them anyway. take care....

I always knew that TG/WE had a strong sense of diversity but it was nice to finally meet many supporters of this effort from all ethnicities and areas of the district (racism, prejudice, blah blah blah....what crap!)

Last post for awile... I did not mean to suggest that Sleepless has posted personal attacks, hit lists, etc. I hope that sleepless comes back and that we all continue to try our best to focus on respecting each other and avoiding attacking the messenger as opposed to sharing our thoughts on the messages. However, please feel free to continue to attack Dr. Daeschner, because, quite franky, he is just an ass Goodnight and Godbless to all. Laughed so hard at this I almost spit out my coffee!

Was there any press coverage of the event? I don't think so unless you count a Sushi and WVHSP sighting . I only wish they had stayed until the end. It would have been nice to ask them for a donation ;D. Seriously, I hope they gained knowledge by being there. I think that anyone attending the meeting walked away with a better understanding of what is really going on. Shawn did an excellent job presenting. I particularly loved his comment along the lines of "people only call others names when they have no facts to support themselves." I know that I'm chopping up what he said but I totally agree. I always find it amusing when others accuse NSFOC of spreading lies, FUD, whatever but when you challenge anyone on what those "lies" are there's nothing that they can pinpoint as being wrong. Bottom line is the NSFOC suit has called out the SB on many things and there are those that simply don't like that position. Why, in the world, are there still those that simply give the SB a pass at all turns ? That to me is unbelievable. IMO, the SB has lost complete credibility and support. That is especially apparent when you recognize the number of PTA officers (current and former), IPPC members (current and former), and others that have always worked to support the SD/SB members (campaigning, etc.) that have finally said "enough". These are long-term SB supporters that have now seen the light! I don't think the SB recognized the fall-out that their recent actions would have on the public.

I am just so disappointed in biases of any media that may use this site or others to rally supporters to back an article or vote on an online survey. What are we doing?! Not interested in mind games especially around education.

I too was at the meeting and was stunned at the turnout. They just kept coming to the point people were standing outside waiting to get in and listen. I met people from all over the district. Yes, there were one or two that were against the NSFOC but it is to be expected and I am still glad they came. I would have to guess they were asking themselves questions when they walked away because they learned that the SB really messed up; and learned some facts that can not be denied. It is amazing what happens when people actually get informed.

When you don't come with the right intentions the outcome has already been predetermined. ;D I tried to meet Sushi (since she has been longing to meet me) but she seemed to have left before I could make the introduction. Maybe next time. Looking forward to it.
