Now the projections probably had Ashwood being built full out along with the rest of any unbuilt area. The housing bust will put a damp on those projections. I think we will be in a 9000-9400 range from here on out. For maybe 18 more months or so - but that area will be built out

What percentage are they currently at?

The housing market doesn't turn that quick. It took 4-5 years to hit the peak last year. Lending tightend. The 100% loan with no docs are gone. Now, people are going to need 10-20% down.

Lending tightend. The 100% loan with no docs are gone. Now, people are going to need 10-20% down. it can turn more quickly with interest rate changes - as well as the fact maybe $1M home are not the right fit any more for that property - the market further down the scale not taking quite the hit - at least not in the Midwest. No, it doesn't turn on a dime, but there will also be some pent up demand if interest rates fall ----

For maybe 18 more months or so - but that area will be built out Do you really think that Ashwood will be built out in 18 months? What percentage are they currently at? no - what happens when one is wording things late at night - the 18 months is an estimate before the market picks up again and starts once again to feed more students into the pool -- I didn't say built out ( but I didn't clarify this either). The housing market is driving the economy aground - we have a presidential election year coming and I figure the sitting party will do what they can to drive interest rates down topaint a batter picture before the nation goes to the polls. If the interest rate can be driven somewhere between where it was and where it is now ( without significant inflation ) - a lot of people in trouble with ARM's will be able to recover....( some still won't) - and the cyclical housing market which has a wary buying pulic right now would kickstart again. That land will not sit empty - the question is when it will restart not if.

Why is the SB hiding the current ACCURATE numbers???
Because they are down and now they are in big trouble.
End of story.

Given the events that have occurred over the past week and that we have a new Super. I'll cut them some slack on the numbers release, but they should come out with them sooner than later.

I approached it from another angle You are a new Super with a SB that lacks the publics' trust and you have a 3rd hs land issue with a Sept 17th trial date. If our district were GROWING The Super would have released the numbers to show/prove that 1. He is on top of things 2. He can gain Trust with the dist 204 community 3. It might have helped in the trial with growing numbers They didn't release them...there is only one reason why

There will always be people around that don't trust anyone, even themselves, so I would never concern myself with them. It would not have helped the trial.

You have to ask DPC where they got them.

Just how long does it take to tabulate schools numbers? ? 38 days? NOT

You have to ask DPC where they got them. Then if they are not official they should not be posted as 'gospel'
