Then you have selective memory. We've gone over this before. Why do you seem so intent on pointing to people that go to WV as being the perpetuaters of this nonsense? You know that's not totally true, right? I really don't know people who have an anti-WVHS bias. Sorry. I have seen some that have an anti-NVHS bias (calling it the Taj, etc.) And I have seen those perpetrators you speak of. But I'll take your word that there's another element too. I just don't think they're on this board. So it kinda bugs me when people go off and accuse posters on this board of that. You continue to not answer the questions you are asked. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this point. Edit: BTW the term "taj" was used by the press way back when NV first opened, so if that label offends you, I suggest you take it up with them. If the worst name that WV was called was "taj", I don't think too many of us WVers would mind.

So.....by antonym standards.......they are ....'full'?? bob, do you have an answer for the rest of my questions??? Maybe you should email the SB members you know and ask for answers. Maybe you should look up the defintion of a question because you didn't pose any in that post. Answer the questions bob...Petersen is full and so is Wheatland?? Can you ask the SB members you know to [shed light on the statments asked??? Thank you

I am a bit confused too. I see Peterson seems up and running, but it is not shown on the ES Boundary map.... IIRC did Wheatland ES now go to Peterson? and what was going to Wheatland be used for?

Wheatland moved to Peterson along with any kids from Ashwood. Wheatland will be used for Pre-K and storage. Peterson will not be at full but also will not be empty. It is being used as a school this year.

So are you telling me that, we have a horribly overcrowded position in dist 204 and yet we are not using at least THREE buildings to their capacity and are asking for a $124 PLUS 3rd HS and a second referendum in 09 to support it when we currently have three buildings in your words...'not full' P.s. You made an off handed comment about 'just wait until K turns into full day. ..." Well it is good to know that we have flex space for all day K in Wheatland and Petersen

Harry, nobody is asking for a $124 M plus HS, they already did and the voters said yes.

Well since you want to submit this maybe we can hash out some problems
Since 2005 (since the voters didn't approve the 3rd HS until 2006 we might want to change this because it looks bad that you don't know when the referendum was passed), we have
no land being built on (true, can't argue that
no 3rd HS (we wouldn't have one now if we had the land because it would be under contruction. The 3rd HS probably would be at least half way donw if we passed the 05 referendum)
an empty Petersen building that holds 800 but sits relatively empty (have to change this because Peterson is being used as a school)
An only 300 of the 600 seats filled @ Frontier Haven't seen this stat but how do we force kids to take college classes that don't want to take them? You should come up with a plan for this. Don't want to look like a complainer.
the 2nd biggest enrollment of soon to be 2nd graders but no new space needed in our ES (You might want to look at the net change of the class it replaced in the ES)
only the same amount of portables as 2005 I will trust you on that
no media complaints of personal hardship Well why would the media complain about it? You might want to rephrase.
no new blips in enrollment You are probably going to need to define blip.
no divulged Plan B for other parcels Can't argue that.
you decide

The voters said yes to a 3rd HS because they believe that the SB 'crystal ball' numbers were correct, or they liked the boundaries or a plethora of other reasons discussed ad infinitum here. That fact is this................... we have empty seats in some buildings, alleged overcrowding in others AND MOST IMPORTANTLY no voted in 3rd HS in sight. What do you propose.............stay the course?? We all know where this leads to.......

You should come up with a plan for this. Don't want to look like a complainer.Who says that college students need to occupy the other 300 seats? If NV was sooooooo overcrowded, I am sure that our brilliant SB could cut a deal with the Frontier partners and let NV students NOT earning college credits in use these empty seats to take classes in. the 2nd biggest enrollment of soon to be 2nd graders but no new space needed in our ES (You might want to look at the net change of the class it replaced in the ES)Please give us concrete examples, Bob only the same amount of portables as 2005 I will trust you on thatYou have to as there are no others. no media complaints of personal hardship Well why would the media complain about it? Since the sun was out on the golf couse, I put on my rose colored glasses and started to see things differently. Maybe BB is doing the SD a favor by dragging things out. Who would have guessed the housing market would bottom out and the financial concerns would bail so quickly. We have an opportunity to look at solutions that are more creative and economical. There's lots of vacant office space for magnet acadamies and we could focus on the middle school situation. Speaking of staying the course, this was asked at lunch: If BB doesn't agree/like what the jury decides, can they appeal, file an injunction and delay, delay, delay? ??

Well it is good to know that we have flex space for all day K in Wheatland and Petersen for the umpteenth time - the next referendum is for operating expenses - such as teachers for the additional students -- how can this not be clear after all this time ? Regardless of where you put these students they need teachers, and books, and supplies --

SSm Your ideas are great but would require our SB to actually do the right thing and look into every and all alternatives for our dire sitch and yes Going by past history...BB will draw it out as long as they can (collect fees) Thanks for the post

because you actually take the time time to do the math rather than just firing off shells that leave out costs - what's the word for that- oh yeah I readit here - laughable -- like I said originally - we build two additions which leave us with 2 overcrowded huge high schools ( assuming the WV can even be built on - I will check into the pitch that was made to see what was said ) and one middle school and spend the same amount -- great ! Where do we sign ? Also where is all that concern about construction going on while kids are in school - ( MV) - it's OK when they're adding additions ? That's right ,,,,Dr W is also 'in the know' and right. He solves the problem....Again The End I'll use Dr logic and go out a limb and say that I think parents will put up with construction noise in order to get their kids out of overcrowded situations. you aren't even making any sense at this point in time - maybe step back before you post and ask if it makes any sense. How am I 'in the know' - because I can add 3 numbers for additions and a MS ?
