So are you telling me that, we have a horribly overcrowded position in dist 204 and yet we are not using at least THREE buildings to their capacity and are asking for a $124 PLUS 3rd HS and a second referendum in 09 to support it when we currently have three buildings in your words...'not full' P.s. You made an off handed comment about 'just wait until K turns into full day. ..." Well it is good to know that we have flex space for all day K in Wheatland and Petersen for the umpteenth time - the next referendum is for operating expenses - such as teachers for the additional students -- how can this not be clear after all this time ? Regardless of where you put these students they need teachers, and books, and supplies -- DR w Please re read my post as it clearly states... "And a 2nd referendum to support it" I don't know how to be clearer for the umpteenth time

Hey Harry, Be on the look out for a personal hardship story in the Sun - one's probably being drafted as we speak! ;D But where's the update on quick-take? You know that that is coming.... Let's write the Headlines today!!! Certainly the front page news should be........... "Reporters ask time and time again of the Dist 204 SB for comment on the Quick Take update, the current overcrowded position of Dist 204 and Plan B, but comments to their office remain unanswered......................" If you want to know what's going on with QT -- maybe you want to contact a SB member or someone who has been involved daily -( maybe one of the lobbyists for or against) - you don't try cases and negotiate in the paper....but that would be too much work.

This is needed regardless -- seriously focus on what you are saying...

Harry, nobody is asking for a $124 M plus HS, they already did and the voters said yes. Hey send some HS students to Wheatland? Not so impossible. Instead though let's send some Scullen kids there. That's where the overcrowding is. Does anyone remember the days when Kg. was bussed to the Saddlewood strip mall at 103rd? Seriously. Kindergarten centers were set up in the office complex near Consumer Liquours - how's that for "thinking out of the box" ? This was around 1997-98. Playing Devil's Advocate here but what does anyone know about the IPSD Indian Prairie Preschool? Obviously it provides an incredible early childhood experience but by no means is the District obligated to provide education to preschool children (with the exception of Special Education). If we are in a serious space crunch is that a possibility that hasn't been explored? I wouldn't want to see it happen (I had a child that attended the Special Ed program there and I was so impressed by the program) but I'm just curious if the SB has ever thought about that? Wouldn't that be a kick to see some HS students attend the "Howard Crouse Education Center". ;D

Then you have selective memory. We've gone over this before. Why do you seem so intent on pointing to people that go to WV as being the perpetuaters of this nonsense? You know that's not totally true, right? I really don't know people who have an anti-WVHS bias. Sorry. I have seen some that have an anti-NVHS bias (calling it the Taj, etc.) And I have seen those perpetrators you speak of. But I'll take your word that there's another element too. I just don't think they're on this board. So it kinda bugs me when people go off and accuse posters on this board of that. Then as I was just reminded by another here as I had forgotten the firestorm this et off – remember this lovely comment you made to me on these boards ? Pardon me, but I am really tired of the santimonious crap you spew.
It is clear to me that the reason you spend countless hours on this site is to promote your agenda.
If the school doesn't open in 2009, your 7th grader is stuck at WVHS.no WVHS bias here on these boards - please.

I thought you might be that angy guy I witnessed at Still bemoaning building another "Taj" and complaining about how bad WVHS was. I'm wondering what happened to him.....

Now just a bunch of spin about how we don't try cases in the newspaper, etc. Doesn't leave one with an easy feeling....

Hopefully he will have left the area ...... Have only been in Still for volleyball games -- and it certainly would not be me bemoaning WVHS....... there are plenty of people who exist who will do that though - my wifes cousin's husband is part of a group who does so regularly - unfortunately for you he is one of your neighbors. And btw - he has yet to step foot in WVHS once in his life, but he is an expert.

IMO and not humble...if the SD employees have to work out of portables on the BB 25 acre site or at wheatland or at the empty seats @ Petersen so that students can occupy choice seats, then I am all for it. Thanks for the insight and hopefully the SB will read this and take notes.

Why do you continue to cut people down on this board who don't agree with the Dr's opinion? I guess if I was a SB member, I would be using the media for everyday updates as to what is going on. Of course, our SB uses the media only if they think that they are looked upon in a favorable light or is this concept lost on you??

If that is a cut down - than so be it. nothing is lost on me however it's you that needs to tone down the smart alec'y retorts -- and seemingly consistent overlooking of any facts for personal opinon. You don't think much of the SB.. we get it..you don't like them, you think them incompetent, and you could do a much better job as you have said. We don't need to read about it in each post, no one has missed your point. Maybe you should consider that in 18 months...

Wheatland moved to Peterson along with any kids from Ashwood. Wheatland will be used for Pre-K and storage. Peterson will not be at full but also will not be empty. It is being used as a school this year. You made an off handed comment about 'just wait until K turns into full day. ..." Well it is good to know that we have flex space for all day K in Wheatland and Petersen I heard there's an empty closet over at Wheatland - how about if we educate your kids there, Harry? Come on, man, let's get real. You can talk about how "creative" the "free" space should be used. It all stops being realistic & practical at some point, though.
