We all know that it makes more sense to send White Eagle ( a neighborhood that sits in Aurora) as opposed to the 20 or so students that Ashwood would produce. But we all also know that it would generate a bunch of clubhouse meetings. It would be easier to move a whole subidivision then split one. And only kids that live in Aurora should go to WV? Wow. Totally taking my words out of context Bob. I simply stated that part of White Eagle sits in the same city as WVHS. Easier to send a handful of kids? What purpose does that serve in the grand scheme of things. I don't live in Ashwood so have no self serving motives.....just makes NO sense.

Whether intent or not - just by stating - "that sits in Aurora" as opposed to saying they are physically closer - starts this whole separation thing. if we truly want to send kids geographically - does it matter if the subdivision is in Aurora or Naperville ? so again, SSM I am not sure why you chose to single them out as Aurora - but don't be surprised by the reponses you will get.

No, it has been said that students would have to be moved from NV to WV if no 3rd HS is built. Instead of splitting Fry or WE in half it would make sense that an area that would go to WV with a 3rd HS would be the one to move if there isn't a 3rd HS. We all know that it makes more sense to send White Eagle ( a neighborhood that sits in Aurora) as opposed to the 20 or so students that Ashwood would produce. But we all also know that it would generate a bunch of clubhouse meetings. I know this is off topic, but regardless of the meaning of the post, I am a bit offended. It may have been a joke and we all know that meaning is lost lots of times in messaging. Does your subdivision really need to be brought into this? Another topic, ok. I guess it still bothers me that way back when, many people bad mouthed (or typed) WE or Tall Grass residents without really knowing them or just knowing a few that made the subdivision seem bad. Back on topic....thanks.

As an area that is in AURORA, I believe GOMBERT would gladly go back to WV as we originally BEGGED to stay there, [to dispute the comments made about everyone wanting out of WV].

Out of context? Why does the city where a student resides matter in what HS they attend?

Back on topic....thanks. Unfortunately you are right, and it is on topic ( or maybe we willneed a new thread soon) - but this is the nonsense I really don't want to see happen again. And typecasting any neighborhood/subdivison as being totally this or totally is of course so off base and silly. But it will occur, and has already started. Whether this is North -South / Aurora- Naperville / or any one subdivision baloney -- the right thing would be for us here to STOP now. It would be nice if we all agree here to stay above that starting today. We have a serious issue to address and it would be nice of 204 worked together to solve this. There will already be the division of those who think we do not need a 3rd HS and those who do - that is not going to change. But for those who agree we need a 3rd HS and want it built sooner rather than later - I would think it would behoove us to work together.

Let them keep the land.... And do a thorough examination of the jurors financial records for a few years afterwards. Someone obviously didn't get the time-value-money aspect of it all. Pity.
I wonder if there's any nasty stuff on the BB property that the EPA needs to do a thorough sampling of. Who knows what's been spread on the beans and corn (pesticides and fertilizers and who knows what else) over the years and who knows what that has done to the groundwater. Did they ever find 'the body?'
Is the property ADA compliant for future potential buyers? Perhaps there's even some historic preservation that might have to happen since there's so much mystique surrounding the family history...

At a minimum, I think it's time to fire the SD's attorneys and possibly consider suing them for malpractice. They are getting rich off of this fiasco and they helped lead us into this mess. Anyone else agree?

I can not wait to read the actual transcripts of the entire trial. How long do these take to become available?

I am not going to blame the lawyers until I can see how they performed and the evidence they presented.
Did they get beat that bad or did the jury just said FU to the SD?
