FC is only an option if students pay for it. It's not school district property and can not be reliably factored in from a capacity standpoint.

Would a 2500 student faclity be enough? Would people accept that? (Yes I know that is a BB mentality, but avoids delay). If you have 9100 kids in the pipeline currently and you have 4000 at NV and 3000 at WV than 2500 would accomodate the crush we know we have coming. Plus the new Frontier campus has capacity. Should we consider it? Now there is a good idea.

Why should there be only 3000 at WV? See there is the problem - balance out enrollment between NV & WV.

Using the price per student from the Oswego page
It is a $17,500,000 savings.
Rew that is genius.

It would really depend on the numbers of each school class size and the impact at WV and NV.

Does anyone know have or where to get the breakdown of each school's class size?

Does anyone know if we are obligated to purchase all 55 acres? Would we be starting over if we wanted less land from BB? And if we do need to purchase all 55, then I say we consider Rew's idea, and since MV won't need all 80 acres, I say we build a lifestyle mall along the the 75th St frontage (ok, may just a few fast food chains, to bring in some extra $ to subsidize the operating funds).

Don't know if we can purchase less than 55 but back when PREIT announced the new lifestyle mall they said they 'looked forward to working with the district' since they would be neighbors. Since WV doesn't need the retention areas due to lake waubonsie-?- (hense the 40 acres) maybe PREIT would be willing to split the water retention needs for both properties...?

The one thing I wonder about building a smaller MV - does any of the wording the referendum obligate the SD to build a school with a capacity of 3000? And taking Rew's idea further, maybe they could build an MV with an initial capacity of 2500, and plan ahead for the ability to add an extra 500 capacity if/when the need arises. This way, if the enrollment numbers never get as big as has been predicted, the addition never has to be done - but the ability to increase capacity is an available option (assuming they could come up with the $ to do it :-( ).

What we really need is a grade enrollment by school breakdown. need one that allows about 500 - 600 ( assuming some kids go to FC senior year ) or so less HS students at one time. I have the old 'projections; from the boundary maps - they're not current obviously. Also which HS could best absorb it -- Someone correct me but I think NV was more crowded today- ( but has FC closer , although I know for all 204 schools ) - lots of factors.
