Lacy did you read Agneda IV yet? Here it is again.
IV. Persons Requesting to Address the Board on Non-Agenda Items
You spent how long complaining about no being able to speak about non agenda items but it was right there saying you could.

They are creating distrust with their executive sessions and public comment only at the end of the meeting and only pertaining to non-agenda items. If they want people to trust them, they should be forthcoming. We have heard from individuals that have emailed them with specific questions and never heard back. We don't know how many millions of our money they have spent chasing BB in terms of attorney and lobbyist fees. If you're O.K. just blindly trusting them, then good for you. I am not (and I don't believe I'm the only one!) I think we'll have to agree to disagree on this one. So it's not about hearing about the Macom property, it's about trust. Completely different issues. Yes - me and the majority of the voting public in the district disagrees with you, based on the last school board election. You want to get in the middle of the process. So run for school board. But please don't muck up the process to getting the 3rd high school that the majority of your voting neighbors said YES to. Have you taken a recent poll to determine the sentiment? If so, please share. How do you know the majority disagrees with me? That is really interesting. How do you know the majority agrees with you? An awful lot of people voted against the 3rd high school. It was by no means a landslide victory. And I seriously doubt I'm the only one concerned about the land price coming in $17 million higher or the enrollment being down. I seriously wonder if that vote were held today what the results would be. The last election (for SB members) had a very poor turnout - how can you say all those people who failed to vote agree with you? With all due respect, it seems you want to squash any conversation regarding anything but BB. And I can't see how that's good for the district.

Don't go calling me names, now.
No, I still think they are not creating an environment where individuals can easily be heard. Do you?

How do you know? IMO, you've spent the last day finding one negative thing after another to say regarding this email and the site at 248th. Again, what are you afraid of? Let's see Lacy, if we go BB, we can start now. If we buy Macom we can't build on it until they move Wolf's Crossing which isn't happening until Spring of 08. The road runs through the middle of the school right now. Speaking of that, what are they doing with Wolf's crossing? Are they going to jig it up to meet up with 95th?

I'd like to hear from someone other than these 2 parties that it is before I proclaim it as the gospel truth.

With all due respect, it seems you want to squash any conversation regarding anything but BB. And I can't see how that's good for the district. I was very careful to state that the majority of VOTERS in the districts agree with me. Attention Non-Voters: You don't get a say because you don't vote. If you want elected officials to listen to you then VOTE. That's how it works - if you didn't get to the polls you don't get a do-over. I don't get residents that don't bother to vote, but how is that relevant to how the process works? The majority of voters voted in favor of the new HS in 2006. The incumbants got re-elected in 2007. I'll put those facts up against your 'gut feel' any day. Like I said - yay - pick Macom, I don't care - but to say the sb is not considering Macom or St. Johns is untrue.

How about you? Afraid of where the school will end up or what? If the SB can build MV without coming back to us for more money and not change the boundaries, John Q. Public is happy. Not everyone is as active in the process as you and I. I think there are some John Q's who disagree with you. Why are you so "active" and defensive I might add? If you support a third high school, and there's a viable alternative that would cost less, why stay so "active" on here disparaging it?

Polls don't matter. A vote does.

Let me think about this, oh yeah, I have a child in the system, that is why I am so active. I want that child to have the same quality educational experience my older child had. Defensive, no, just discussing. I have said on several occasions that yep, if the district chose Macom I would support it. Lacy, would you support BB if the district decided that was best?

I was asking you how you could be so sure that everyone agrees with you and disagrees with me. I still scratching my head over that. No one said "do over" because people didn't go to the polls. I think what's being said is take a hard look before proceeding with a project that will now be more expensive than what was projected. If other alternatives exist, then look very closely (and listen to and communicate with the taxpayers) before proceeding. I don't get the hoopla over such a request. That alone makes me suspicious.

What are all the costs and problems involved in leaving BB for Macom. I see some problems that need to be answered about Macom 1) Wolf's Crossing not being moved until Spring 2) The water filled ditch that runs through the property 3) The old couple 4) The mythical Naperville study about the safety of the substation. 5) Has Macom done the swap with NPD? I couldn't find anything at the NPD website. I might have missed it though. If not done how long will it take?
