I am for any site but this e-mail blast has a fair share of problems with it. Come on. Provide a link. So us the study if you are going to make this claim. I believe it more with proof, not with a trust us statement. imo the email writer made a mistake on this one. If you are pushing for this site, don't remind people about the switching station and the high power lines. I would have left it out completely. Good Point. I need to see hard data to back this statement . And not a study funded by Macom Development ;D I notice no mention is made of the proximity of the RR tracks and the possible Metra station. I will be curious if those items are addressed.

I did not get it....The only way I would even remotely consider Macom was if he donated it $0 Dollars. So we should spend over $30 million for BB? If there is a substantial savings at this site and some of the issues people have are adequately addressed, why wouldn't the district listen? Why wouldn't the taxpayers be interested in saving Millions??? If it's BB at all costs, that's unreasonable (and selfish I might add). If it's a dislike of PL - so what? If it saves the taxpayers millions, get over that.

I did not get the email. Folks that sign in to speak at that meeting at the urging of the email will probably be very sleepy and annoyed when they finally decide to give up and go home! Did Macom get the park district land back that they want to sell us? I hadn't heard that. I'm annoyed that you wouldn't be interested in hearing the details of something that could benefit the entire district. I hope they get a chance to speak. Didn't we elect the SB members to act in the best interests of ALL the children of our district? And to be good stewards of the taxpayers' money? To shut the door on hearing a viable option would be to grossly neglect both of the above. If they do that, I would like to know how we could recall them all.

The SB should listen to ALL options. I am for the 3rd HS no matter where it ends ups and even if we have to redo boundaries. However, I think the content of this thread was regarding the misleading and incorrect information in this mass email that was sent out. It is also my understanding that only non-agenda items can now be addressed during public comment (correct me if I am wrong; Another point that the sender of the email got wrong). According to the agenda "Pending Litigation and Acquisition of Real Property" a topic of discussion and therefore public comment would not be allowed. The SB must give 48 hour notice of meetings and agenda's. P R E P A R I N G A L L S T U D E N T S T O S U C C E E D Crouse Education Center P.O. That's the agenda, but maybe they should reconsider and give folks a chance to speak out one way or another on Metea. I doubt they will. That's the unfortunate part. Sorry, "your opinion doesn't count anymore" is what I've been hearing. Well, some of us that wanted the school and still do, are concerned over spending 518K plus 2.5 in damages when we were told all along the district/SB was confident that would never happen. If enough people show up that want comment one way or another, regardless of opinion, should be listened to. But that's just my opinion. I doubt it will happen.

Why? So you can harrass them??? Nothing like asking for a lawsuit. Wow... or possibly accusing a innocent person when the accusers couldn't tell the difference between n and ns.

I would be annoyed if I got an email urging me to go and sit outside of an executive session. That's all. It will most likely be very late when they are finished and normal folks who have to be up early won't wait it out. The email makes no mention of this. It just urges people to sit outside a closed meeting for gosh-knows-how-long. Not productive, imo. Writing an email to the board with your opinion seems like a better use of time.

I have nothing against the Macom site if it comes in cheaper after all expenses are factored in.
This e-mail should have been simple to get support for that site.
**Support the Macom Site, if it comes in cheaper than BB**
All the other garbage makes it looks like the author has a lack of knowledge of the situation.
If someone going to do an e-mail blast, better have to have links to back up your statements.

*Boundaries will change - no they won't Here is another mistake imo. Email writer shouldn't assume that current schools slated for Metea want to go to Macom site. Keeping the boundaries would be a big minus, not a plus... Owen, Cowlishaw and Watts would be annoyed having to drive past NV every day on the way to high school. Longwood will be annoyed having to drive to the furthest-away hs in the district when it is avoidable. (Longwood to WV = 5.59 miles; Longwood to NV = 6.59 miles; Longwood to 248th and Wolf's Crossing = 7.13 miles) That's over half the school!

I will show to listen to him address the issues.
