I thought Lehigh was at Owen but my wife was told it was Watts recently so I was probab;ly wrong about that.

I would say if Watts is way up at Lehigh than the boundaries forMacom should be
north of Ogden + Geo = WV
south of Ogden , east of Rt59 NVHS
south of Ogden, west of Rt 59 + Graham = MVHS
That splits Watts, Cow and Owen.
I'm not saying it's perfect , it's a numbers thing at this point, critique it all you want.
And yes MO3. I am willing to leave the frosh campus at WV, if that's what people would support.

Hey if we are looking at boundaries all over again does that the old Wheatland students are no longer grandfathered at NV.

I don't see the sense to splitting schools. Doesn't Kendell come up Route 59 anyway? What difference does it make if it turns left or right.

Are you saying send Owen to NV and send Kendall to MMV?? I think that's fine distance wise, but you'll have to make some adjustments to the numbers then, because Kendall is much larger than Owen, not an apples to apples switch. I want BB.

It might not be that much becasue BB will be housing and those kids will going to Owen.

I'm not trying to be a snot here but what difference do our debates/discussion on boundaries do? I thought it was made more than clear that any future boundary changes would be made by the SB/Superintendent only and not include public meetings. I'm sure everyone remembers how ugly that whole boundary deal was and agrees we don't need that again. Debate all you want but as of right now, we don't have a school location that we can afford and we don't even know for sure what the other sites are. It seems to be a moot point at this stage of the game

If there are boundary changes, which is more than likely given the information from the past week, it will be in the form of communication, public comment at a SB meeting, and then a vote. No options will be offered.

No options will be offered. maybe because I am sure many are relaying ideas to the school board in communications such as the email listing for the whole board on the IPSD web site. It can't hurt to communicate ones feelings and maybe someone here comes up with a good idea they might want to look into. Although I agree with the part that I do not want to see boundary meetings again - it doesn't mean we have to stop thinking and stop communicating thoughts to the SB -- that seems like a step back in time to 2005

I agree with all of the above. It is moot, but if I saw a boundary that looked half as workable asa BB it would make me feel better about walking away from BB. That's what I keep coming back to. Just how bad do the second choices look for the SD??

That's just it - the only ones to benefit from putting a school at either far end of the SD boundaries will be the one or 2 closest schools - now unfortunately we mayhave no choice -

I say we flood the SB/Admin with calls and emails demanding the sites under consideration....
I do not care for financials at this point....yet..........
Because truthfully, if they are acquiescing the fact that they could build on less than 80 acres.....it opens up a few other locations.
Namely North Aurora Rd at Frontenac, and even the area behind the Home Depot/Krispie Creme.
Just things to ponder........
