There were three projections used for the 2nd referendum. From a previous thread Year NG 1 2 Current C-ng 2007-8 8536 8656 8626 8086 -450 2008-9 8873 9113 9053 8591 -282 2009-10 8965 9365 9265 8907 -58 2010-11 9071 9631 9491 9133 62 2011-12 9104 9824 9644 9228 124 2012-13 9084 9964 9744 9192 108 2013-14 9000 10040 9780 9106 106 2014-15 9034 10234 9934 9165 131 2015-16 9108 10468 10128 9143 35 So then if there are only 100 or so students over projection in the far off years, then why not throw them in trailers instead of building 3000 additional seats to house a 100+ problem?? Ok I am dumb the first line of your numbers for 2007 2008 with the negative 450 at the end mean what??

Gator,, resting on past laurels always gets the gingerbread eaten by the fox.. ANYTHING can change That makes no sense at all harry. By the way, it is GM or Gatormom, there are other gators on the board. Thank you. What has not changed is the need for Metea. Do you have children in this district harry? Are they heading into this, past it, or too young for you to care? Just curious. Prove the need GM

Harry, I can't help wondering if you have any children that attend 204 that would be part of the group that you suggest is "thrown into trailers" - your terminology & symbolism is interesting. Sounds more like words from a citizen for options. I can't help wondering why you wouldn't question building a 3000 seat hs for a 100 plus problem??? p.s.,,,kids are much better at handling situations than any grown up I know,,,and not know it was a" problem" pps,,,what if I told you I was the grand boobah of CFO....what then??? Will you ban me?? This is an insult to everyone on the boards intelligence so stop throwing around falsehoods and smoke screens and deal with the issues we all raise here What falsehood? You're a citizen, and it sounds like you want the SB to explore some different options, right? You're the one that got all jumpy & brought up CFO. Now, about changing the subject, you never answered my question, so I'll take it that I was right. That's very kind of you to decide that other's children should be "thrown in trailors" as an alternative to building MV. I seriously doubt that a majority of 204 residents would agree with you, though. Hence, the referendum passed. As, you've said recently: Deal.

So far, the only thing I have heard is for you to misquote numbers, frequently, and that since people aren't rioting in the streets, we have no overcrowding. The referendum has passed and the district has approval to build a school.

Harry, how much do you think it should cost to herd the cattle over the next 5-10 years? No herding necessary as there isn't overcrowding in dist 204 But you're the one suggesting trailors to throw the extra sheep in, right? Now you're saying there's no problem at all?

I am asking for you to prove that a 3rd 3000 seat hs is needed with TODAY'S enrollment and I am asking for examples of overcrowdedness in any school (scullen is now not overcrowded due to the SB's kindness of a trailer) check your own post regarding citizen for options, ma friend

You can keep this up, but eventually nobody's going to even bother responding - not sure why I did, I guess I'm a little bored tonight. I'll probably go find something better to do now...

So far, the only thing I have heard is for you to misquote numbers, frequently, and that since people aren't rioting in the streets, we have no overcrowding. The referendum has passed and the district has approval to build a school. If our school district were bursting at the seams, people would be up in arms, there would be split shifts, portables, open campuses early graduation ad infinitum There is only a falsified enrollment projection ending in a referendum that the SB is not acting on currently because they know they can't fill a 3rd hs,,,so they try to up the numbers by adding an unnecessary all day K to "prove" that we need classroom space and to spend moneys

Since this thread is really about being overcrowded and what should we do, we seem to have gotten a bit off track. The referendum has passed, a long time ago, and we really don't need to rehash all that stuff. So how about we talk about overcrowding and ways to alleviate it. ;D

So far, fence has weighed in

No way! Valid points in light of what's about to happen, no? Heck... bring on the portables.. I never thought I'd say that... but in light of what I think is being considered as a third high school site.. and the future enrollment numbers. Hey, revote! No? AME site.... not what was voted on, but yet, .... you have our 124.7$ million... But, It's within your decision to say screw all you voters, No? God help our kids with future requests for funding. 09- ed fund- No..... 2010- op fund- No... sorry.. look north of 75th for funds... Just go for it. I've NEVER in my life voted against school funding, but if the SB/district tells me my opinion/ and many others don't count after we've committed to building a school for $124.7 million, hey, they don't need my money. Growth is SOUTH in 204. Deal with it. Really... You don't want public opinion? Why not? >>> Why not? Why not?..... Good question. no? 65% of elementary enrollment is south of 75. WHY A SITE NORTH OF 75tH at the top of the list? That's not the "intent" of the referendum in 06? Wow, big bait and switch (yes- I'm sick of that term, but this is huge). Taxpayers.... residents. I know you are frustrated. I am. this is not good! Who is in favor of the AME site? WVHS parent, I know you are. I was too until I found out about the gas lines. If Macom is the same price... no brainer to me. Who else?.....
