A timeline about NSFOC organizing
At the Jan. 28 District 204 board meeting Todd Andrews spoke regarding his concern over district boundaries. (Mr. Andrews is one of the founders of the NSFOC organization who resides in Tall Grass) Visit ipsdweb.ipsd.org/Subpage.aspx/OnDemandVideo (To see a clip, click on the link at left, then click on Jan. 28 school board meeting. Fast forward through the meeting to 57:40 - toward the end of the meeting - to hear what he has to stay to the school board.) Mr. Andrews speaks up. Not about being lied to about Brach-Brodie and that Brach-Brodie should be the only land being considered, not about safety of the new locations, but rather as a plea to the school board to continue to allow Tall Grass to go to Neuqua rather than Waubonsie.
Below is a timeline of communication from the board about the Eola site and the corresponding timeline of the forming of the NSFOC group.
• Official announcement of school board plan to not build on Brach-Brodie land due to cost: Oct. 26, 2007.
• Land recommendation made: Jan. 15, 2008.
• Boundary recommendation made: Feb. 12, 2008.
• NSFOC.org registered: Feb. 19, 2008.
It was not until the boundaries were released and they did not get what they wanted that they organized and began their group. This in itself speaks volumes.

Welcome to the Class Warfare Club, Denise. You're "I hate TG" button is in the mail, the matching WE button is on back order It would be nice if Denise would have noted when environmental concerns about AME came to light. IIRC, most of us were so wrapped up in the boundary discussions that we failed to even think about environmental issues, myself included. We made the mistake of trusting the intial SB reports that AME was fine.

Denise forgot to mention that the original meaning for NSFOC, albeit short lived, was Naperville Schools For Our Children. It is hard to hide the true intentions of this organization, no matter how much the defenders try to cover it up.

Denise's cherry picked time line only proves to embarrass herself and show her true ignorance of the history of the situation.

So maybe it is time for all sides to grow up and stop making it all about them and work to find an amicable solution?

I'm looking forward to the 2009 opening of Archwinsome Middle School and Brach-Brodie Memorial High School.

I was hoping that in all of the stumbling around thus far by the SB/Admin that they would not wake the dragon...

I agree that almost everyone in this has a personal agenda but this continual assertion that anyone who voted NO is a hypocrite for being in favor of the AME site now is ludicrous. Anyone who voted NO realized that they were out-voted and lost. Now they are just like every other voter who must look at the site selection and decide if they like it or not. An analogy to this would be a voter who did not vote for George Bush. I'm sure that all of those people who did not vote for George Bush took any savings from his tax cuts and mailed them back to the government. After all, if you don't initially vote for something you have no right to enjoy any benefits from it.

and it should not involve the AME MWGEN site So say you. Others say as long as my kids go to NV, and then there is the group that wants AME/MWGEN, and yet others who want no school. But, I think we can all agree the 204 Administration will go down in history as the most incompetent bunch of morons ever to serve on a school board.

We made the mistake of trusting the intial SB reports that AME was fine. I have to call B.S. on this one. JB, you may have failed to think of the environmental issues until after the boundaries were set, but Eagle Dad and Arch brought these to light as soon as it was announced 204 was going to purchase AME/MWGEN, which was well before the boundary issue being decided. Many here were discussing the hazards long before the boundary decision, others decided to join in afterwards, as a last ditch effort to stave off a school change for their children.

There are enough red flags to stop the running of the Bulls in Pamploma - but not our district.

After all, if you don't initially vote for something you have no right to enjoy any benefits from it. I have explained numerous times it is not EVERYONE who voted no -- some voted no for financial reasons, some voted no because they didn't believe we needed a school -- but there is a large block who voted NO for boundary reasons and were not shy to say that -- that is the group I was talking about -- I will include that disclaimer each time it is mentioned
