Wow, that certainly is disappointing to hear. Is this guy stuck in the 1950's mentality about men and women or something?

The other interesting thing about calling WV the western school is that the farthest southern people in the district will probably go to WV (Western school) instead of NV (Southern school). It will be interesting to see if they will re-group and change the naming conventions to sell the school board. Or if they HAVE been using this to sell the school board. And the board hasn't called them on it...? (not sure if I got the quoting right on this one - sorry!) The "Western School" thing is IMHO Dash's way of justifying his already spoken intent to use Rt. 59 as a dividing line, otherwise the Plainfield area would be in the same situation geographically as (ex.) Graham. (oops - too late, see the point was already made while I was posting!)

Mapquest vs Google Maps Let the battle begin. Lol Maybe COMICS can start holding tournaments on Sundays. P1: "I have a level 4 map with mapquest and it repels all traffic attacks!" P2: "Yeah!? Well I have a google map with street-view powerups" P1: "HA! I will attack your route where google is lacking the streetview data! Take that!" Oy...

some did say exactly that - one gentleman asked Dr D -- you mean you will not let her answer the question ? his answer was a firm NO ! My oh my, what did we get ourselves into with this character? I'm still mad that we paid for damaged goods. There was certainly a reason why Jethro's contract wasn't renewed. I'm wondering if we're starting to see some of the causes come to light now. I'm getting the same bad vibes about the Dash. He's going to swoop in from Kentucky, wreck our school district, and leave after three years.

If it happened like that I wish someone would have yelled out "LET HER SPEAK FOR HERSELF" some did say exactly that - one gentleman asked Dr D -- you mean you will not let her answer the question ? his answer was a firm NO ! I have been thinking about this and if it is true, then first thing, shouldn't elected officials be allowed to interact with their constituents? And second, doesn't Daeschner report to Alka? This is just all backwards and so wrong on so many levels.

They're calling WVHS a "western" school so that they can send everyone on the western side of the district to it. The "eastern" half of the school district is then divided into "north" (MVHS) and "south" (NVHS). There is no central. We lost central when we lost BB. Based on this subtle name dropping, I think most people can guess how the boundaries will play out. Crazy! I can't believe they wold send Brooks and Young to WV and not the AME site but maybe you are right. Absolutely nothing would surprise me at this point. Brooks and Young would definitely go to MV, but my guess is that everything south of there would be considered "west", all the way down to 111th

Can someone help me clarify the posts questioning if the board will approve the site? Does anyone really think that after a meeting to select the site and approving the announcement of the new site, that they can somehow meet and change their minds? I suppose it's possible, but it seems highly improbable.
As for chain of command, as I've said before, for a long time in 204, the board has answered to the administration, not the other way around. Dr. Daeschner's actions are nothing new, just a lot more direct.

Do you really believe that the rec comes strictly from the administration and is not a result of work that the board and administration have been doing for the last few months? I would expect that they helped develop this rec and would likely approve it unless there something big happens to warrant a change (bigger than some people happy and others not happy, regardless of which group is larger or more vocal).
